I dont understand people who claim that Claire McCalister is a bad mom honestly, like unless their projecting/making vent art. But all I see is a mom who made the mistake of spoiling her kid until she hit a point where she was forced to start disciplining her child (i.e mass destruction of the city by gigantic robots).

Like she clearly tried her best to create a productive enviroment to produce a smart and healthy child. For example, she doesn't allow tv in the house and the fact that Tobey turns his nose up at processed food which every kid usually loves. She doesn't push his boundaries too much either (unless its to redirect his enegry from destroying the city with gigantic robots) bc of the fact Peas are considered a new food for him.

There's more evidence to her spoiling him. The pictures of him all of the house in the first episode where he looks more caught off guard than anything lol. She has to bribe him with ice cream to go school shopping (which he clearly enjoyed even before the ice cream). The fact that he always eats so much candy, like who's buying the candy for him? Then on the Thanksgiving episode where she was so distraught that he was GONE she was looking literally everywhere even under the COUCH for him.

Idk this, isn't like formatted super well but Claire McCalister clearly loves this little bitch so much, and its sad to me that people are calling her a bad mom :[

Any chance of seeing more "mischief maker" Violet or Scoops?

(Crack theory: Rhyme and Reason but Violet is salty that Becky could've helped her pull off vandalism in hard-to-reach places but never did.)

(Crack theory #2: Bunny Lovers but basically the same 'cause Becky still thinks evil!Scoops would hashtag expose her in the paper. In exchange for not snitching he blackmails Becky into helping him pull off tricky stalking mechanics, like aerial views or a lift to a window.)

here's the mischief maker scoops. when i was watching the OG show i always thought he was UNNECESSARILY MEAN sometimes 😭

anyways all of his nasty traits are dialed up here. scoops is a walking gossip tabloid and his first priority is a good story, so when he finds out becky is wordgirl he's meaner about it

but he is there for her still, and scoops just takes more advantage of her powers for evil op-eds 😈

Not sure if you've already answered this, but what role does miss power play in the au? And what's tobecky's dynamic?

im gonna be honest, i don't have anything for miss power yet in this AU. im torn between making her an actual good guy heroine, to a straight-up villain.

the tobecky dynamic in this is pretty similar to the main show. tobey has a huge crush on her, but in this he's one of the only ones that can piece together that becky and wordgirl are the same person, so his feelings extend to both of them. though he still finds her very annoying and infuriating. his crush on her is still the subject of teasing between him and his friends. as tobey and becky, they are fierce school rivals and are constantly trying to one-up each other, and he can't stand all of the attention becky gets for her smarts because he knows for a fact she's a villain behind the scenes.

for becky, she's a bit oblivious to his crush on her, and even when it's obvious she thinks it's some sort of psychological mind war. she's never had to deal with people having a crush on her before, so she thinks it's virtually impossible, and also coincides with her issue of being unhappy with herself. so, whenever tobey gives her genuine compliments or affectionate gifts, she tends to short-circuit and lose her cool.
