It is recommended for a woman, even if she is menstruating, to wake up during the last third of the night to call upon Allah. This is because Qiyam (getting up during the night for worship) is not limited to those who intend to pray; It also includes supplication and remembrance of Allah.
“Sometimes what you’re most afraid of doing the very thing that will set you free.”
— Robert Tew
"يُعطيك الله قبلَ أن تسأل، ويُعطيك وأنتَ تسأل، ويُعطيك دونَ أن تسأل."
“Allah gives you before you ask, and gives you while you are asking, and gives you without you asking.”
Count your silent wins:
— pushing yourself to go pray in the masjid — home is filled with sound of Quran — waking up to pray — uninterrupted moments of dhikr — resisting gossip
These are the victories that echo in the akhirah.
"A soul that’s struggling will always find its way to Allah."
Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:
"Do not disperse your heart searching for love, safety, and completeness with other than Allah.
"You will not find that (with other than Allāh)."
ー [Majmu' Fatawä 10/134]
Coming back to Allah after getting your heart broken by the Dunya is the perfect demonstration of how Allah is always there and when we forget Allah and get busy with our worldly life He calls us back by taking those means of distractions away. This is like we return home after wandering blindly to find the warmth of temporary shelters.
Lately I feel a type of disconnect, seemingly his mind is somewhere else, at a point where there’s no space for me. No time to entertain or really want to know. Times like this it takes me back to the day we got married. Maybe he doesn’t want to hear it like a broken record but it hurts inside when the physical body is there but the mental mind is somewhere else.
A type of disconnect where even when one is hurting the other can’t see it.
Sometimes I wonder would my life be the same if it was a true love story. If the yearning was double sided rather than just from me.
Every love story has its own trials of this life, but somehow in 6 years I haven’t felt this same type of disconnect.
I could well be going crazy. But I’m not so sure I’m completely wrong.
Prayers are more effective than your worries. turn your worries into prayers & Allah will turn your prayers into miracles.
"Allah knows you're sad, tired and broken. But Allah also knows that you can handle it and you're strong enough."
A blessing might come to you because you wished it for someone else 🤍
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said : no Muslim servant supplicates for his brother behind his back but that the angel says : and for you the same.
Ibn al- Qayyim said:
"Sadness weakens the heart, diminishes confidence and harms will power, and there is nothing more beloved to Shaytan than the sadness of a believer, so for this reason rejoice and be optimistic, think well of Allah, trust that which is with Allah and rely only upon him, and you will find happiness and contentment."
Whoever commits evil or wrongs themselves then seeks Allah’s forgiveness will certainly find Allah All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Astaghfirullah, for every time I was ungrateful.
