Prophet ﷺ said: 

Three things can save a person: 

١. Fear of Allāh in private and in public.

٢. Fairness in happiness and in anger.

٣. Generosity in both poverty and in wealth.

And three things can destroy a person:

١. Desires that are followed.

٢. Greed that is obeyed.

٣. A person being amazed and pleased with themselves.

If you find yourself astray, keep this reminder deeply in your heart. Woven into the fabrics of your mind.

Do not fall for the whispers that break your hope of ever returning. Allah has his ways for you to return to him despite your sins and shortcomings.

Like the story of the prostitute who had mercifully been accepted into heaven for feeding a dog, who led the dog? Certainly the decree and mercy of Allah ‎ﷻ that had willed it. The works of Allah are ever-present yet subtle. Concealed…but existing.

Allah’s door does not close; an endless mercy.

‎"Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: "Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? I was about to complain of my worries to my companion,

then I remembered that You are closer to me than my jugular vein.

عَبْدٌ أَنَا وَالْحُزْنُ يَعْصِرُ خَافِقِي

I am a servant, and sorrow squeezes my heart,

ضَمِّدْ جِرَاحِي إِنَّنِي لَكَ أَهْرُبُ (الله)

so heal my wounds, to You alone I flee (Allah).

‪Ibn Hajar رحمہ اللہ said:‬

‪“Do not let the bad thoughts of yourself and abundance of your sins prevent you from calling upon your Lord for indeed He answered the Du’ā of Iblees when he said: ‘O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected!”’‬

Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

The Prophet (ﷺ) observed: "There are three (types of) people to whom Allah will neither speak on the Day of Resurrection nor look at them nor purify them, and they will have a painful chastisement." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) repeated it three times. Abu Dharr (May Allah be pleased with him) remarked: "They are ruined. Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?" Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "One who lets down his lower garments (below his ankels) out of arrogance, one who boasts of his favours done to another; and who sells his goods by taking a false oath."

When a person leaves the disgrace of sin to move to the honour of obedience, Allah will:

* Make him independent without wealth.

* Assist him without an army.

* Grant him honour without a nation or tribe.

It's been almost a year since I opened this blog which is strange because it still feels like yesterday. I don't know what is going on in my life anymore to be honest. I don't know why I can't get any closer to Allah at all. I feel like I'm only drifting away from Him day by day which is scary. Every effort I put into my deen fails. I'm struggling to do the BARE minimum. Please pray for me and give me some tips.

There is khayr in everything that happens, but only if you look at it with the lens of Iman. When the rings of hardships get tight upon you, remind yourself that the events of your life that surround you at this moment are perfectly working under the constant care of your Lord. Nothing escapes His knowledge, nothing surpasses His vision, it’s all running smoothly under the command of Allaah. This is what your Lord has chosen for you. This is what His plans are for you. This is what His decision looks like. And He’s the Most Just in His decisions.

Taslim and rida to His Decree is what is going to save you in drowning your boat in the sea of trials, and will supply you with tawakkul and sabr and will safely take it to the shore — that counts among the highest level of ihsan and iman.

Don’t ever let this vanishing dunya get to you, no matter what becomes of you, don’t let it weaken your resolve and narrow your sight. You were created for Akhirah, work for it till the time you are here. Accept the good and bad that inflicts you, be pleased with it and continue your journey as a stranger to your Lord, surely and eventually His faraj will come to you and solace will seep down in your soul and if it’s not written in this world, then surely in the Hereafter whilst you depart from this dunya as famous stranger in the skies.

‎• Hiding poverty until people consider from your integrity that you are rich.

‎• Hiding anger until people consider that you are pleased.

‎

‎• Hiding hardship until people consider that you are prosperous.

‎
