Watched the possible last episode of SMCâŠ.
I donât know how to feel. Most of the episode felt so underwhelming. Most of the whole series has felt so underwhelming. TOEI is saying to stay tuned for announcements and they will probably be letting us know if SMC will get another season or not soonâŠ
But I honestly am not sure if I want more SMC. I mean if it goes on, I will watch it to see how it plays out and I will be waiting to eventually see a lot of the Dead Circus and the Stars characters that never made it to the original anime. Because those moments were honestly the reason I was ever excited about a faithful adaption of Sailor Moon. (Sorry to say fellow moonies out there, but I never really minded that the original anime wasnât like the manga)
But if it doesnât get another season and this is it for SMCâŠ. then at the very least I wonât have to constantly see beautiful moments from the manga constantly being watered down and halfheartedly made and leaving a bad taste when thinking about the manga.
Yeah at this point I can honestly say I didnât like SMC I didnât like it at least as much as the original anime or the manga. The only appeal it had was to see the beautiful images of the manga being animated beautifully and, as we all know by now, the animation was awful. And if it wasnât going to be animated well, I donât see why it had to follow the manga at all. They could have just made a whole different origin like the live action PGSM did or made a new season that would take place after the manga. But the only thing they changed was adding in the Senshi  x Shitennou subplot that literally only lasted for like 2 episodes and was immediately abandoned and didnât use that to further anything in the series.
And I hate that this is how I feel about SMC. Sailor Moon has been the biggest influence in my life! I love the orginal anime and the manga and the live action and the musicals more than I love most people in my life! I wanted to love SMC just as much!
And I think there is still a part of me that wants SMC to continue on in hopes that if it continues I will be able to like it and maybe even love it. Or at the very least if it would go till the end of the manga I would be able to at least find something in it that I like.
Sorry this ending is just so bittersweet for me and I am glad that there are people that love SMC and who find joy in it. I just wish I could have liked it too.
