Tonight was Louisa’s last game of her career. No medals for her retirement, but it doesn’t change the talent and the love she has for the “beautiful game”. Her shyness didn’t outcast her strong personality on the field. We weren’t able to send you off with you being on top of the world, but we can say that during those few years you made us dream and fall in love with you. To us you are one of the best. You made the choice to live your life away from the field and we respect that. Your beautiful free kicks, corner kicks, your goals, your frustration and the ease you have with a ball at your feet : we won’t forget it. You will be missed and remembered. We wish you the best in life. Goodbye Legend.

Thank you Kessi for all the great matches, the dramatic turn-arounds, for all the goose bump moments. A leader on the pitch who won almost everything: Champions League, European Championship, German league titles. 

A shame that she had to retire at the age of 28. Also a shame that she only has 29 caps in the NT, could never go to a World Cup or Olympic tournament because of knee injuries. 

You will be missed big time.
