knighterroneous:
“I apologize, but you’re not exactly my type,” Hien answers as flatly as she does, “so no.”
He lifts a brow at her statement. “You know,” he says after a beat, “when you put it like that, you sound suspicious. I’d better not end up going on a rampage in your body or something.” He crosses his arms. It’s impossible to tell when Hien’s supposed to be telling a joke or not. The same impenetrable frown always graces his face regardless of whose body he’s in.
At her next question, he can’t help but let out a scoff. “Actually, yes. Yes, I am. And drop the nice act. I can’t stand people who try to hide who they really are. The truth comes out eventually, so I’d rather deal with you instead of a fake.” He sighs and pins her (his) ears up straight.
“… They never flopped around before,” he mutters. “How did you even manage this? It’s no harder than moving a finger. Try moving them voluntarily.”
“Well my ears aren’t really - supposed to move.” Eto’s voice had grown even flatter somehow. Normally the woman had all the patience in the world, but somehow this purgatory had a habit of wearing her down especially thin. Now she was being lectured by a bunny rabbit on how to properly move her ears.
She supposed somebody with her sins deserved to be punished, she had just been expecting something else. “Here, I’ll try to focus on this ridiculous task.” She closed her eyes and used the one thing she still had untouched by this place. Imagination, it was half of the fuel behind her power, but without RC cells she would have to make due.
Controlling the ears should have been no harder than controlling Kagune. Her ears which had been twitching willy nilly, finally straightened up as he said they should. “There, now that we’ve solved the rambunctious rabbit ears, can we move onto something actually improtant?”
