âMillennials are so entitled"
Actually, the âyouâre welcomeâ/âno problemâ issue is simply a linguistics misunderstanding. Older ppl tend to say youâre welcome, younger ppl tend to say no problem. This is because for older people the act of helping or assiating someone is seen as a task that is not expected of them, but is them doing extra, so itâs saying âI accept your thanks because I know I deserve it.â
âNo problemâ, however, is used because younger people feel not only that helping or assisting someone is a given and expected, but also that it should be stressed that youâre need for help was no burden to them (even if it was).
Basically, older people think help is a gift you give, younger people think help is an expectation required of them.
DAMN STRAIT.
Basic Millennial complaint: âI want shelter and economic security.â Some bitter old man: âWHAT THE FUCK? WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU DESERVE ANYTHING? THANK ME WHEN YOU BAG MY GROCERIES FOR ME, PEON.â

Whats up with Hei Hei in some of the Moana promo art and posters? Like
And likeÂ
And even????Â
Heâs so angry and ready to Throw DownÂ
But then in actuality heâs justÂ
Disney explain
I went to the âBehind the Scenesâ panel for Moana at CTN expo this year and the explanation is as follows:
In development, HeiHei used to be a character meant to be Moanaâs watchdog. He stands to the side making sure she stays out of trouble (and away from the sea) and judges her (sort of like Flint the hummingbird from Pocahontas) but the directors were worried that it made him too unlikeable. John Lasseter gave the crew about 48 hours to think of a way to figure out how to save his character or else heâd be cut from the film. So instead HeiHeiâs IQ was lowered waaaay down, making him more lovable and funny. During a story pitch in which Moana had to retrieve the Heart of Te Fiti from the Kakamora, she originally only retrieved the stone. The artists reboarded it exactly the same except HeiHei swallowed it and the Kakamora was lugging around a chicken instead and it instantly made everything more hilarious. To which Lasseter exclaimed at that moment: âTHE CHICKEN LIVES!â an inside joke that was kept at the end of the film when the ocean spat HeiHei onto the shore and Maui remarks âthe chicken lives!â Â
best thing about this movie was the perfectly marketed/polished commercial animal side kick just waiting to be the new olaf and then its in the movie for like 3 mins tops and instead a chicken that eats rocks gets to be the disney animal companionâą
IT GETS BETTER.
Once they rewrote the character they were in a panic. Who could voice such a role?
None other than Alan Tudyk, known as âWalt Disney Studiosâ lucky charmâ due to his roles as Duke in Frozen, King Candy in Wreck-It Ralph and KTSO in Rogue One, who made the front freaking page of the Wall Street Journal due to his performance.
Tudyk says: âThe character youâre playing, even though heâs a rooster and is really stupid, you approach it in the same way you would approach Hamlet, which is exactly how I approached it. But they give you the circumstances. âYouâre on the boat. You didnât expect to be here. You just climbed in a boat to maybe sleep. You donât even know why you climbed in the boat. Youâre really that dumb. Every three minutes is a new world to you, so you see that youâre trapped on this boat, and you freak out. Go.âÂ
Note: Tudyk went to Julliard.
Also: Alan Tudyk is the only non-Pasifika/Maori person in the voice cast. He plays the chicken.
concept: a fantasy cowboy who rides a dragon instead of a horse
dragon riders are actually just fantasy cowboys you heard it here first

One of my favorite animation stories is when Disney hired a group of female animators to work on Snow White and like this was a huge deal, it was Snow White, it was going to be the very first full-length American animated movie, it would go on to win a special Oscar designed just for it (they didnât know that at the time of production, obviously, but this is how groundbreaking the movie was). And obviously this was back in the 1930s so everything was hand-drawn and hand-inked butâŠbecause they had the actual physical cels right there in front of them, they could put whatever they wanted to on the paper, I donât know about you all, but I feel like I definitely take that for granted. You think âpencil, ink, paintsâ and thatâs it. And apparently Walt Disney had that mindset too because he was confused by the texture of the makeup on Snow Whiteâs face and so he asked his female animators and they were just like, âSir, we used our actual makeupâ like these animators actually did Snow Whiteâs makeup which is mind-blowing enough but then you realize that there were over 250,000 cels in Snow White and okay, sure, only a fraction of those cels actually featured a closeup of Snow but itâs still insane to think that weâre looking at somebodyâs real blush here (once you see it, you canât un-see it):
Animation, man.
All those people waiting for the SuperBowl to begin
but little do they know
that THEY ARE THE SUPER BOWL
EDIT: YES I KNOW I FUCKED UP PLEASE STOP YELLING AT ME
I donât care if I lose a thousand followers overnight, but if you think âtrannyâ or âshemaleâ are remotely acceptable ways to refer to a transgender person, please unfollow me.
The number of notes on this pleases both my ego and my fragile faith in humanity.
Adding on, âextra hole boyâ, or âpussy boyâ are equally abominable ways to refer to trans men.
Dont use Shim, shehe/heshe, chick with a dick d*ckgirl or c*ntboy either
and if you use âitâ to dehumanize any trans person i will personally come to your house, break down your door, and piss on everything you own
âSissyâ and âtrapâ are also utterly reprehensibleâŠ
Also if you call a trans woman futa I will kick your fucking teeth in
Please yes, im fucking sick of people looking at and consuming futinari culture and think thatâs what we are
is it okay for a person who is not trans to reblog this?
Given the fact this is a legit list of words that trans people donât want to be called/donât want to hear, I hereby decree this post may be reblogged by everyone who wants to spread the word that these words are NOT ACCEPTABLE.
As somebody who literally had to tell one friend that âtrannyâ is a slur and âfem-boyâ is not what you call a trans woman, I agree with this hardcore
Reblog if anywords that degrade, disrespect, dehumanise Transgender people is NOT ACCEPTABLE. AT ALL.
