What does Poppin' Cherries mean?
I'm thinking....
….that we need to go on an adventure. What do you say??
Yes. Yes. A million times yes.
What the hell are you doing?
Why not to go home:
Cassie slowly pulled away from him with a slight smile. “Do you want to talk about what’s wrong? Please? You know that I’m for you right? No matter what it is. It’s you and me against the world, I don’t know about you, but I’m not going down without a fight.” Cassie sat down in the grass and pulled his arm so that he’d sit with her. Laying into the soft bed of grass, she smiled into the sun. “It’s a beautiful day today, let’s be happy.”Â
Toothless listened to her words, and smiled at her, though he didn't really mean it. He did mean it, however, when he replied to her, saying, "It is you and I against the world, Cass. Just you and I." He let her pull him down to the grass, and laid down beside her, staring up at the sky. After a few moments he sighed, glancing over at her. "...I thought it was about my mom. Still think it is about her. Hope, actually, is a better word."
"You're a weird kid, ya know that?"
I dunno, cute name, cute kid…I think it suits you fine. *she lets out a laugh, clutching her gut as she tries to contain herself*
Clearly you haven’t seen my show darling. That’s what I do, I’m a singer here.
Toothless raised an eyebrow at her. "You think I'm cute?" he asked, mostly joking.
He shrugged. "Uh, yeah, I guess I haven't. Is it fun? I mean... do you like it?"
"I guess so… I’m just trying to make the best of the problems I left for myself. It’s a learning process, all of it. That’s all it is."
Roxanne’s eyes stayed on the ground as she spoke, thinking to herself. She wasn’t sure what she wanted now that she was getting back to her old self. Before she wanted to be who she was and now that she’d become someone she knew she wasn’t sure what was next.Â
For a moment she was surprised he kissed her back. She wasn’t even sure why she kissed him in the first place but she had. There wasn’t any way she could complain but instead she moved her hands to his sides where they settled. She just couldn’t make herself pull away from him, she never seemed to be able to.
Toothless smiled sadly, but nodded. "A learning process... that's a good phrase to describe it. You've got to learn who you were here, and learn whether or not you want to keep being that person... right?"
He tried not to compare this Roxanne to the one that he had known- not in least because they were actually the same person. But it was hard. The new Roxanne was happier, but she hardly knew who he was, really. He could still picture them sitting on the couch together, sketching each other with hardly any light left to illuminate the page, because they'd spent the entire day talking. But he no longer knew what they would talk about, and wasn't sure how it would go.
He wasn't thinking of any of this when she was kissing him- he couldn't. He was distracted by her- by her lips, by her proximity, by her just being her. His mind was definitely not on any of the sad things he'd been thinking about just a moment ago.
Wendy looked over her shoulder and let a small smile come to her face. “It’s okay… Sometimes we all get in those. Can I do anything to help you?”
Toothless smiled at the girl; she was nice, and she hadn't deserved for him to be rude. She was taking it so smoothly though. "Um. I mean. You don't have to. But if you want I could take you for some icecream. As an apology for being mean?"
Sally shook her head, feeling bad about her words. Perhaps if she’d worded it better then he would’ve understood. With a sigh she began to spoke.Â
"That’s not t-true… I’m s-sure you’re s-smarter than me… I’m s-strange, that’s all."
Toothless chuckled, shaking his head. "No, no, it's true. If not you being smarter than at least your mind working differently, right? Or else I'd be thinking of all the interesting things and you'd be the boring one," he teased.
Yuna stops dead in her tracks, dropping her hands to her sides. “Well, it’s Hiccup going, isn’t it, sweetie?” She asked and made herself comfortable in a nearby chair.
Toothless winced, because he couldn't stop himself, and nodded. "Uh. Yeah. It is. He is."
Why not to go home:
She caught the wince. Of course she caught the wince. She would always catch the wince. Cassie knew that he didn’t think she’d caught it, but he thought he covered it up better. She frowned through his laugh, she frowned through his grin, she even frowned through his next words. Instead of saying anything she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him for a moment. Her mouth stayed shut while she rested her head on his shoulder, then pressed a kiss to his cheek. “I love you, you know that right?” She asked softly before resting her head on his shoulder and pushing herself onto her toes. “Yeah you did, and my birthday was amazing all because of you.”Â
Toothless was surprised when she hugged him, but he really shouldn't have been. Cassie knew him better than a lot of people; she knew him better than almost anyone, actually. Of course she wouldn't miss his little slip up. So he let himself relax into the hug, if only for a moment, and when she pulled away to kiss him on the cheek he smiled slightly, even if it was a little sad. "Yeah, I know, Cass," he replied. "And you're damn right it was because of me," he added with a bit of a chuckle.
Of, of course. Sorry to bother you.
Toothless stared after her for a second- and almost let her go- before he finally called her back. "Hey, hey. I'm sorry. You can come back. I'm just in a bad mood. I shouldn't have been rude, though."
What? I like Terrence. It’s not quite as bad as you may think. *laughs lightly, taking a sip of water and sitting down on a bench* Well thank you. I’d like to think I can do a bit more than shake my ass and warble a tune.
[shrugs] I don't know. I just feel like it doesn't... fit me, you know? [his eyebrows shoot up and his jaw drops]Â Is that what you usually do? I can't picture it, honestly.
*Yuna begins to draw shapes in the air, wondering what’s the matter with him* No, actually, I cannot. What’s the matter, dear? Loneliness got your tongue?
Toothless watched her, and then ducked his head. Normally he would be happy, ecstatic even, at watching her work her magic. But today just wasn't a good day for that. "...I guess you could say that."
You like it when I say it, admit it. *gives him a playful wink before stopping and walking over to him*
Oh I’m just working out. A woman can never be too prepared in my opinion, not to mention it’s excellent stress relief. Why? Were you enjoying the show?
[wrinkles his nose] I don't like it when anyone says it. Even my mom.
[laughs and then chokes on his laughter, coughing a few times] Um. I mean. You were kickass. So yes.
Can you's shares?
Um..
Could you go away, actually?
