I’m so tired of being sick.

I’m so tired of keeping this body alive with all of its’ needed infusions, pills, and surgeries.

I’m so tired of the lengths in which I must go just to continue living.

I envy those who can carelessly live.

I’m treated as if I chose this life of sickness, as the debt collectors call to harass me.

How does one have 5 separate accounts for one hospital stay?

As if I asked to be born with this DNA.

On the contrary, I feel as though my DNA has a hold on me.

It has strangled me into submission; as the perfect capsule for its morbidities.

It sucks the life from me and I’m not sure if I want to save what’s remaining.

Anthem Health Insurance: “ehhh... not too worried about it.”
