Guinness World Records is recognizing Israel for their "kidney donation" record and so I think it's a great time to remind everyone that Israel has been harvesting the organs of Palestinians since the 1990s

You should read up on Yehuda Hiss who was the Chief Pathologist at Abu Kabir who was found to be taking organs from Palestinian corpses without permission and using them for research or selling them to medical schools were substantiated by the Israeli government.

There's also a book by Meira Weiss, an Israeli doctor, called "Over Their Dead Bodies" that details how organs taken from dead Palestinians were utilised in medical research at Israeli universities’ medical faculties and were transplanted into Jewish-Israeli patients’ bodies.

Euro-Med Monitor has also been raising the alarm on this. They've been asking for an investigation into how Israel has been unlawfully keeping the dead bodies of hundreds of Palestinians in its morgues or "Numbers Cemeteries" which are mass graves that are kept in subfreezing temps marked only by metal number plates.

Israel is the biggest hub for the illegal global trade in human organs. In 2019 the Israeli Supreme Court authorized the military to withhold the dead bodies of Palestinians to be used as leverage and by 2021 the Knesset had passed laws that allowed those bodies to be held for broader reasons.

Since the genocide began, so many Palestinians have talked about their family members being returned to them and missing vital organs

Just wanna make sure we're all on the same page here about Israel and it's relationship with organ harvesting since GWR wants to recognize them for "kidney donations"

It literally makes me feel like I'm losing my mind that almost no one in the global north on here will speak about, or even react to, the fact that the US is literally funding Israeli owned death traps for starving families.

The United States and Israel have made it impossible for all actual aid to enter Gaza. Then, private contractors from the United States created the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), with Israeli support, to "take over" aid distribution. They are preventing aid distribution by all humanitarian groups in Gaza that distribute aid in coordination with the U.N., and replacing them with GHF. These GHF sites are set up in collaboration with Israeli military to lure in starving families and gun them down.

Palestinians right here on tumblr have been discussing this for months, but so many people just reblog donation posts without even reading them.

Remember the post recently going around about ICE killing someone in California by throwing him off a roof and forcing all the witnesses to delete their footage (horrifying) where I added sources? that got SO many reactions in tags of "holy fuck" and "how is this happening" and general shock and outrage.

Even with all the reblogs, no one has reacted to my post about the food aid hubs in Gaza. Not even "no one has reacted with outrage," but just... no one has reacted in a way where it's clear they read it and felt or thought anything at all about it. Actually one person did, and it was a genocidal tangent dehumanizing Palestinians.

That's the state of things in the imperial core. Of the people who even pay attention, it's mostly people telling everyone else to tune out.

Hell, the US admits its doing this in our own papers. No one reacts. The US government doesn't need to hide anything cause everyone is willfully avoiding reading what we're doing to Palestine. It's grotesque.

I remember how at the beginning of 2024, right after the International Court of Justice ruled that South Africa had presented credible evidence that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza, that Israel accused several UNRWA workers, completely without evidence, of being Hamas combatants. How even without any evidence of this claim, even with UNRWA immediately firing the workers that were accused (again without any evidence), the US and other countries complicit in the genocide immediately stopped giving aid to UNRWA, and how the United States Congress actually passed a law banning the government from giving aid to UNRWA for at least a year. How even when many European countries began easing up on their UNRWA aid freezes, the US never did. How Israel choked off all aid to Gaza after they unilaterally ended the ceasefire (which they continually violated even when it was in place).

How Israel raided the Madleen and kidnapped its crew, including Greta Thunberg, who were trying to break the siege and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Israel and the US have systematically been working towards this militarized control of aid for a while now, while most other countries have at best instituted a small fraction of the measures they are legally obligated to enact on countries committing genocide.

It is incumbent on all of us to do everything in our power to stop this genocide, including donating to and sharing fundraisers.

Honestly when people insist that the end of USAID marks a "return" to some kind of hard-fisted age of imperialism, above all it shows that they somehow thought that US aid around the world was some actual act of generosity or Mere publicity for US empire, when the reality is that especially in Africa the aid Itself WAS the imperialism. The aid itself was specifically designed to undermine the development of local industries and foster dependence on the US on every economic level to undermine national sovereignty. Without the aid there's suffering in the short term, but also a complete retraction of leverage in the long term and again, let's be realistic: the US is not going to bring in boats and planes and conquer states on the African mainland that refuse to submit to its dictates.
