it gets worse before it gets way worse
The e in email stands for evil mail
a child who is persistently alone & does not want to be alone does not learn that they on occasion have time to themselves during which they can do whatever they want, they learn that occasionally they will have time to themselves throughout which they will do nothing except exactly what they do not want to do - something that is synonymous with that duration of time. if they were being made to do some or other unpleasant thing, like hold their hand on a hot stove, that would not be synonymous with the duration of time, it would be something occupying that duration of time. when they are made ito be alone, the fact that they are alive & conscious is felt as a profound lack rather than the fundamental opportunity atop which all other opportunities are built, & the passage of time becomes something to be endured because it continually implies their continued existence & awareness. life for them then becomes organized not around exploration nor seeking enjoyment or fulfillment, but around strategies for continually enduring the fact that they exist

tumblr is great bc its like a diary where I can take other peoples diary entries and glue them into my own diary

remarkable. all these holes look just like my grave
iāve been feeling like a loser because well iāve been engaging in loser behaviour and activities like not looking after myself
hopefully i'll get to do something other than endure soon. that would be really nice
they should invent a yourself you can forgive
i actually think it's scary that we seem to be forgetting what regular human beings look like and that in some cases it's being deliberately accelerated by incels and their esoteric mythology of appearance now that they have the cultural microphone. it's scary that i can watch a movie from like 1991 and be like "oh if this woman was cast as a leading lady today it'd be a culture war outrage session about ugly women being shoved in our faces"
i wasnāt supposed to be a person i should be a well-loved mug or a worn paperback book or a favorite hoodie or a keychain plushie or something
pulling my tamagotchi out of my pocket in the same way a distinguished old man would check his pocket watch
half the thoughts i have aren't mine and i don't know where they're coming from
my 100% failproof way to handle reactionaries asking why i donāt shave at all is going ābecause i donāt want toā it works because what they really want is an argument about the merits of feminism, and theyāll draw it out and try to convince you itās a cult or whatever, but you can avoid it all by sticking to āi just donāt wanna. donāt feel like itā and if they argue with you about it you can use your ultimate ability, which is āiām sorry i thought it was a free country?ā which, believe me, they cannot come back from. theyāll either drop it or start harping on something you didnāt say, and itās important you donāt take the bait at that point. when they canāt argue with what you say, they assume your beliefs and attack those. and you crucially must be visibly baffled at their change of direction because it will make them seem and possibly feel crazy (which they are). āi donāt want to shaveā is a perfect response because truly it all comes down to autonomy and the ability to do what you want. theyāll try to say āfeminism makes you think you have to do thatā and itās important to not take that bait. to reiterate that you donāt know what they mean and you just donāt like shaving and that itās really weird to look into it that deep. this works i promise
wonāt someone think of what people who shave have to go through? the 95% of afab people who shave? imagine the slurs they get called because they shave⦠that must be so hardā¦
