Harvey Dent // Two Face HC
These are just some funny little headcanons/thoughts I've thought of during my time reading / discussing him with some friends of mine : )
These aren't based on any particular Twoface adaptation, though if they lean heavily on a particular era I'd love to hear about it! TWO-MINDED DRIVING: There's no way that these two would've been able to drive properly- at least not right after the attack. I've imagined up a scenario where they each have to individually take the mantle of different parts of the car. Twoface gets the steering wheel since his own leg has to rest in the car and monitors the windows, whilst Harv keeps a hand on the steering wheel and keeps a desirable pace.
Sure, they've figured out a system once Harv learnt to accept this new life but that doesn't stop the occasional incident from occurring. A coinflip to decide being a second too late and then.. boom. they've either crashed their front into another car or building.
CROSS EYED THEORY: Twoface wants to look at Bats running ahead, Harvey wants to stare down the Robin running away in the other direction. This mf has gotten cross-eyed at least once. Surely. Like a pair of googly eyes that never snap in the right direction. You ever think one of the rogues has some decent blackmail with a picture of him like that?
MOISTURIZER MODEL: These guys could totally get away with a skincare brand. If Twofaces scarred flesh bag is as smooth as a babies butt thanks to their 'Two toned' moisturizer brand, I'm sure they'd get a bang for their buck. An excellent side gig. I think they'd specialize in anti-wrinkle creams, eye drops, and I'd even think a perfume or two. GARNMENTS OF COMFORT:
Pressure garments. Whilst typically used for burn victims some doctors believed that it would be a good start to help keep his half together whilst it healed. I like to imagine they both at least try to keep up the routine during the little downtime they get at night, resting in a velvet robe whilst the pressure garments provide a gentle tightness he hadn't felt like since he'd lost everything and sought a life of chance and duality. ; ) In my head I'd imagined that Twoface particularly despises Arkham just a little bit more due to the fact they never provide him with these garments to accompany them on the cold metal beds they provide. SIGNS OF INFECTION:
I've always thought (at least if this were irl) that a man like Harvey Dent and Twoface would be a WHOLE lot more careful of their scarred side when committing crime. If they are going to get shot, it'd best be on the side that isn't prone to getting infections all the time yk? Infections bring fever and put his whole reputation at risk. Twoface doesn't fear his side getting injured, though the concept of death keeps them just weary enough to avoid having Twoface's side sitting beside anyone they don't deem trustworthy.
FASHION:
Twoface is already eccentric enough with his half n half suits of good and evil. I already like to imagine he's got a set of outfits for when the coin determines he should team up with the other rogues yk? Twoface in particular loves a good impression- Harvey goes along with it for the sake of the game. Random ideas I've imagined up: - A mute green and black is what he prepared for The Riddler. Buttoned up just enough for the silk-blended fabric to threaten poking into either side of their neck. Twoface claims it's to keep them 'sharp' enough to make sure that redhead isn't tiptoeing into the path of betrayal. Symbols hinting towards a question-mark can be found right on the laces of his black leather dress shoes. Harvey's side has the question mark, symbolizing the (what I believe) to be the side that The Riddler prefers. Twoface gets the Exclamation mark, the excellent flipside of a coin to the question mark. - Poison Ivy would be the rogue they'd dig at most if they ever were to work together. The "We used to date" outfit of the century- involving the fastest fast fashion materials they could scrounge up. They've still put at least a little bit of effort, featuring their sleeves with little details of those ugly flower print shirts. Of course, Harvey's half provides a sleeve of living flowers, Twofaces does not. - Penguin I feel would be easy enough. A sea theme. Depending on the iteration of Penguin, I wouldn't put it past them to use full skins of bird feathers on Twoface's side to provide an even more eccentric look, almost like a peacock. I feel Harv's side would be a little more professional in a setting like Penguins, likely similar to the usual white his side dresses in. That's all of my head emptied out so far, maybe I'll do a little dump like this another time : )
