I saw the post you reblogged and it has a lot of valid points! For me I’m actually against hunter x survivor not because of the hunters, but because of the survivors and the fact that so many of them are so awful. It’s not exactly because it’s hunter x survivor. It’s just with most of the H x S ships I see, people chose pairings that just simply wouldn’t work out to me.
Galatea is actually my favorite character! She is one of the few hunters who did do something wrong (she murdered that nurse). But I don’t blame her, as she was wrongfully locked away in a mental asylum and god knows what happened to her at the rich guy’s place. I headcanon Galatea to be an adult with a very child like mind set due to the trauma she faced.
While a lot of the hunters are more innocent some of them did bad things like Smiely, and unfortunately, Galatea. (Though I don’t blame him either, murdering Sergei was a good thing, I love Margaretha too).
Personally I don’t think Galatea is in the head space for a relationship, but it’s exactly that— that’s my opinion. This game is all about headcanons and theories and bringing your own ideas to the table. Everyone is allowed to take the canon material and analyze it as they please. You can’t (not easily anyways) change the way someone feels about or interprets certain information. Just because my Galatea isn’t right for a relationship doesn’t mean that yours isn’t. That’s the beauty of a fandom baby!
I’m particularly sensitive to headcanons and such though because when I was younger I would change things so much that it basically wasn’t the source material anymore, and that really bothered people. When I realized I kinda shut down and never looked at fandoms the same way. I really appreciate you understanding, you seem like a really nice person. Thank you for listening to what I have to say!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! you seem really nice as well, and i agree that we should all be able to interpret things however we like in fandoms! it feels like thats something thats kind of been lost recently, and that people are all trying to push their narrative of how they see things onto everyone else, instead of just agreeing to disagree yknow?
and yes, some hunters did bad things and some survivors did, thats why i believe its more fair to judge them as individual characters instead of just ‘survivor’ and ‘hunter’ when we are looking at if theyre generally, good or bad people. but whether they are or not is largely subjective and up to interpretation so i feel like people should be more content with a ‘live and let live’ mindset when it comes to looking at peoples ships and headcanons for these characters!!
