Soooo, Fantastic Four was an absolute AI slop fest.
I don’t think I’ve ever rolled my eyes so much during a movie and I saw Madame Web.
The bad CGI, horrible writing, obvious AI generated backgrounds ,... everything felt so lifeless. I really like every single actor involved, but how are they supposed to act when the script sounds like an NPC from GTA 5? "Oh no, I am so sad... you are mean."
Sometimes there actually was decent dialogue, and you can tell when the actors had more freedom because those scenes instantly feelt more alive. And don’t even get me started on that god-awful CGI baby.
The beginning wasn’t impactful at all, just a dump of information and the ending was just weak. That was the big bad guy??? At one point during the final battle, they were just standing there 🧍 mid-fight. Like... do something!!
Of course, people will compare it to the new Superman movie: the retro-futuristic style, the bright color palette, focus on family... and yeah, because they’re both superhero films.
But one is about embracing your family, fighting for the people you love, and standing up for what’s right and the other is Fantastic Four on Wish.com.
Marvel keeps dropping the ball lately, especially with their increasing reliance on AI. (Of course, Thunderbolts is an exception, an absolute incredible film that tackled depression in it's many different ways.)
I do hope we get a proper DCU revival. Just please... no more James Gunn movies.
I have a lot more to say, but I think I need about three drinks before I can stop being upset. I’m just really disappointed.
