I'd say that there is absolutely a societal drive to produce specific kinds of "meaningful" and "important" art as opposed to other art. When it comes to specific people, it's an expected service. To use your god-given abilities to produce, give back to society, create, glorify life and western civilization. And those all sound like good things if you don't really understand what fascism is, or what has happened in history, or how power works.
And the failure to meet this imposed expectation, to arrive at an alternative end, is degenerate. Sinful. It betrays your character, vices, and the sickness of mind and body which is blamed for your actions. This is actually a really long-running and poignant comparison, the case for which need not be made by us- ask any conservative if there is a connection, a throughline between Childbirth and Art. Of course there is. Your neighbors, your country, and God all want you doing it "the right way", and they expect to get the same core benefits from each process.
And that's before we take a serious look at intellectual property censorship law as a body autonomy issue. People absolutely are, and have been, forcing people to make specific kinds of art, and punishing people for making disallowed art. The anti-AI reactionaries have made a sincere effort to pressure courts and legislators to tighten their censorship laws to make this kind of art production conditionally illegal unless the people training the AIs acquiesce to the extortion of people who have attempted to call dibs on human culture. They want to fine you for making art without permission. They want to put a lien on your home. They want to send a sheriff out to your property to force you to leave. They want that sheriff to beat you and put you in a cage if you don't leave your house because you used your body to make art without permission.
This is the central tennet of their movement.
