Hi Guys!
We hope you’re doing well! We just wanted to give you all a quick update on our drive and let ya know how things are going.
Currently, you’ve all helped us raise $165 for Michael’s Drive/American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (the charity we’re supporting in Michael’s name), and we’ve still got over a month left to go (Michael’s drive ends on his birthday, November 20th)! That is so, so fucking excellent and we couldn’t be more giddy, honestly! 5SOS may be the incredible musicians that brought us all together, but you guys sure are rock stars in your own right! Thank you so much for everything that you do for us. We will never truly be able to articulate just how much all of you mean to us.
And just to reiterate a belief that we hold very nearly and dearly to our hearts; monetary donations aren’t everything. Yes, we appreciate them a ton. Yes, we ultimately are trying to raise as much as we can for charity. We know, we know, we know. We understand the slight bit of hypocrisy of that statement. However, we didn’t start these drives up just to try and leech money from y’all and fuck off until it’s time to do it all over again. We genuinely want you guys to know that whatever you’re able to do for us and our boys is appreciated. From reblogging, retweeting, and liking, to making posts and telling your friends and spreading the word, and every single thing in between, sideways, and all around, we appreciate it. It matters. It’s important. It’s all important. Hell, even if all you’ve ever done is give a shit about what we’re doing, we appreciate it. We do. You’re making a difference. Don’t you dare ever think that caring and trying don’t matter because they always, always do. Your care matters. You matter.
