its funny to me how warmups for instruments generally sound nice and pretty. like just basic scales or chords. the exercises i do on my guitar could be mistaken for actual music at times.

and then vocal warmups are shit like. bark like a seal. grunt like a thwomp from mario 64. now sing the melody but instead of the lyrics youre saying 'moo moo mee mee mah mah' even the scales you gotta moo mee mah through that shit and its just so goofy every time. and this is why im not a singer

black people in gothic/alt scenes are just so cool because I think the concept of being black is already outside of the conservative worldview so being black and rejecting norms of a Christian fascist society is a goddamn power move. especially in the face of black conservatives. I've heard from black people who are goth or alt that they faced antiblackness in those spaces and they are honestly troopers. Scottish Trans - Trans advocacy, information and social events. Run by the Equality Network, a broader Scottish LGBTQI advocacy group.

LEAP Sports Scotland - Sports charity that advocates for queer inclusion in sports, runs trans sports groups (Trans Active) in at least Glasgow and Edinburgh that I can absolutely recommend.

LGBT Health & Wellbeing - Not trans specific but includes trans specific, trans led and trans inclusive support and social events, and supports a variety of smaller community-run subgroups.

And another couple UK-wide:

Gender Identity Research & Education Society - Trans led charity supporting research on trans matters and education/training on trans inclusion. Does consultancy for public and private sector organisations.

Trans Kids Deserve Better - Trans advocacy and activist group led by and for trans kids. They do good work.
