She’s not ‘just pan’,or ‘just bi’ and her biromantism isn’t invalidated due to her heavy leaning towards girls, because she still experiences romantic attraction towards guys. Being on the split model doesn’t mean you have to pick a side, and it certainly doesn’t mean other people are allowed to decide which side is the one that matters.

No one who advocates against cultural appropriation has a problem with people willingly sharing their cultures traditions (like when Irish American cultural organizations have public events for the celebration of St Patrick’s day). When someone shares something with another person, they do so willingly, because they want to. Someone deciding on their own to use a tradition from another culture cannot accurately be described as ‘sharing’ because no one is willingly giving it to you, you are taking something that doesn’t belong to you without invitation or permission. You cannot share something that is not yours to give in the first place.

Interestingly enough, I’ve seen multiple posts today from members of Irish diaspora calling for the respect of Irish culture, awareness of Irish history, and ways to celebrate respectfully if one wishes to do so– all made without trying to throw others under the bus.
