Some mild makeovers.

My computer has been in shambles and borderline unusable but I was able to make some necessary changes to Cassandra, Giselle, Lucien, and Soledad, and these are their updated portraits on the cast page!

Wanted Cassandra to have longer hair, the Gunthers are better blonde (Giselle will dye her hair black in the future), Sol needed more edge.

Hope to provide a real post soon. Let's see if I can run it without starting a fire.

Rituals are medicinal.

But the through line is potential: Each day brings with it a myriad of possibilities. And today...?

Meet the Cast: Soledad Sandoval

"Don't let her formidable appearance and dangerous accessories fool you," a social worker had once told a new foster family about their incoming addition. "She's much fiercer." Soledad Sandoval grew up without a trace of her birth family. Abandoned, given up for adoption, and eventually brought up in the foster system, Soledad had to discover herself in the throes of a childhood rife with challenge. Deprived of family and friends, writing would become her focus, her escape, and her passion, before she began sewing and styling.

Upon turning 18 and aging out of the foster system, Soledad's life became a matter of couch surfing and wild punk shows, managing her transition in spaces that encouraged her rebellion and bohemian attitudes even while navigating the loneliness. Curious, she traced down her birth parents, finding her father deceased, and her mother to be a renowned bio-scientist, Dr. Adrienne Sandoval, and showed up at her doorstep in Moonwood Mill. To Soledad's surprise, Adrienne took her daughter in, never questioning her identity nor her appearance. Making a home in Moonwood Mill, Soledad soon met its slew of characters, befriending local bad boy Kojiro Kuroboshi, who quickly began romantically pursuing her. Upon discovery of the towns lycanthropy, Soledad was transformed by Greg, and she found herself subject to the experiments of Adrienne, who studied werewolves with the intention of exposing them, and Soledad found herself without parents once again.

Now one with the moon, and in love with Kojiro, Soledad has found a friend in Jacob Volkov, and a pseudo-family in the Moonwood Collective, despite not being an official pack member. As the town's wolf pack rivalry continues to simmer, she's found herself caught in the crossfires, pressured to take a side; but, instead, the dilemma has become Soledad's greatest inspiration for writing, detailing werewolf politics and tales of raucous nights in the woods. While many see her as Soledad-- solitude, and her loneliness-- those that dare to get closer recognize the warmth that Sol has to offer.

"I'm a cursed bitch. It's not something secret: My curse is knowledge. I see everything that happens around me more clearly than anyone, and I can't think of anything more painful or exhausting, watching the world crumble because no one else has their shit together."

Meet the Cast: Giselle Gunther

Giselle Gunther has been hiding the truth in plain sight: She's a vampire. Ever since childhood, raised in Windenburg, she desired attention, craving the warmth of the spotlight; she always told her family she'd become a household name. With a youth marked by nocturnal hours and parties to her parents' chagrin, Giselle met musician Ali Al-Ahmad her first time attending a nightclub, though their relationship wouldn't begin for years down the line. Pursuing her penchant for dramatics, Giselle began work as an actress, and quickly gained prominent roles in both major network series and blockbuster films, to her controlling parents' disapproval. Taking care of her brother Lucien to escape their parents, the siblings moved to Del Sol Valley as Giselle continued her skyrocket to fame.

Now a renowned actress, multi-Starlight Award winner, and unavoidable socialite, tabloids fiend over details of the diabolically hedonistic late-night ragers that Giselle throws with Ali. As gossip columns fret over celebrity drama, only the deepest of deranged fans have studied and shared their findings on dark corners of the internet: That Gunther and Al-Ahmad are a part of a vampiric secret society, the dark underbelly to the glitz and glamour of public celebrity. Thankfully, no one believes forum dwellers.

Giselle and Ali continue their parties, quietly tightroping their hypervisible lives with their haemophilic truth. Other kindred seemingly look down upon them, with their boisterous attitudes and self-absorbed recklessness posing a direct threat to vampires worldwide, and one Count Vladislaus Straud has made it his mission to keep the debaucherous duo in line. With the pressure to keep their natures hidden, Giselle's charisma easily covers her tracks, but deep down she knows that her live-in brother's nosy, occult-obsessed girlfriend, Vera, poses the biggest threat to her sanguine secret.

"People think actors are mouthpieces, that they portray what someone else wants them to. But the truth is, we are beacons: messages flow through us, and anyone so entranced to watch can and will believe anything we say. It's a beautiful power, really. Why shouldn't I have some fun with it?"

"Divinely beautiful": The meaning of the name Astrid. Chosen deliberately, Astrid always saw who she was, and who she wanted to be, and just as always knew that she had the power to bridge that gap. Born alongside her twin brother, Jason, the two were raised by their proud Spellcaster parents, Adam, an apothecary owner, and Beatrix, an environmentalist, who were sure to inundate their children in the rich cultural offerings of their ancient and powerful bloodline, and the twin prodigies honed their craft from infancy. While encouraged to embrace their heritage, Adam and Beatrix also taught their children the importance of discretion, and protecting themselves and each other from the world.

As Astrid came into herself, and came out as trans at an early age, she was thoroughly supported by the loving and enthusiastic Adam and Beatrix, much to the chagrin of Jason, who began to feel neglected as his twin quickly found her path. While Astrid explored her mother's ecological studies, Jason began experimenting in untamed magic, deviating from his parents' guidance and forging a path of his own. As Astrid formed relationships, culminating in a romance with high school friend-turned-lover Cassandra Goth, Jason isolated himself, retracting from society. In their senior year, when Astrid and Cassandra won prom queen as their high school's first gay couple to do so, Jason left the school in a rage, utilizing his powers to set the family house on fire before disappearing into the Magic Realm, never to be seen again. Some accounts say Astrid followed him, and they dueled; others say she still searches for him.

In modern nights, SimNation seems to have tracked a series of fauna blooms throughout the land on an unspecified path. Some say nature is making her claim; others tell rumors and myths of witches traveling from San Myshuno to Selvadorado and back casting spells of growth and health, and encouraging Sims everywhere to get back in touch with nature and with themselves. The world doesn't quite know who Astrid Axton is; but legend has it, deep in the Bramblewood, exists a being that can heal any ailment, tell the future, and transmute life and death itself.

"It should not be my responsibility to make the world a better place. That should be shared. I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I'm choosing to do this. There simply is no other choice. We either coexist, or we all die."

As the supernatural falls to the subconscious of society, becoming things of myths and stories, fantasy tales and fictional medias of magical realism, deluding the masses into denying their existence, three women's unbridled self-actualization threatens to return the knowledge of vampires, werewolves, and spellcasters into the public eye...

Transcendents is a developing immersive Sims 4 story following three supernatural orphaned trans women who form an unlikely friendship when their various tribes begin to clash or close ranks as their existence nears public knowledge.

Incorporating both Maxis/EA/Sims lore and original content, Transcendents will be told through prose, short stories, essays, POV letters, lookbooks, and a variety of engaging media to provide the broad perspective of the multitude of characters that the story will follow. Vaguely episodic and heavily serialized, the series will be thoroughly tagged and a directory will be created for easy navigation, as flashbacks and shifting perspectives will be common.
