STUDY WITH ME

Have you ever been trying to studying, but didn’t have a motivation to start? I want to tell you my way on being motivated. First of all, of course, beautiful study photos. 5-10 minutes before studying I like to scroll my instagram and tumblr feed. It really gets me motivated. But sometimes I need a push during studying. Then I turn on study with me youtube videos. It’s such a good thing! I like to watch them studying. The benefit of that kind of videos is that they sometimes have pomodoro technique and study music. So I want to share some videos for you to enjoy. Stay motivated!

A few advice to study more effectively

Take care of your eyes. Adjust the lights on your desk.

If you feel that you are not into studying, start with the most interesting topic for you. It will helps you to get into the rut.

If you got tired take a nap for 15-30 minutes and continue studying.

Before you started, write on the list all you need to learn/study and cross out what you have done. It will motivate you to continue. At least it works for me.

When you take a break, try to eat food that helps your brain on working. For example, apples, black chocolate, nuts etc.

Take away your phone as far you can.  Or use the pomodoro.

During your little breaks, do sport a little. Do exercises - stretch your body etc.

Turn on music for studying. Study music/ study beats. It is really important to listen music without words because it can distract you from what are you doing. 

Don't forget to rest! Don't study for 7-8 hours continuously.

How can 30 minute change your life?

Hii. I found out this method recently and want to share it with you. It seems pretty easy, but it is really working. 

If you ask me what is the main reason of all failures I would answer — absence of patience. The reality is success takes time. And the bigger success takes more time. Richard Branson didn't become a millionaire in one night. Madonna didn't wake up being a queen of pop. David Beckham didn't turn into the one of the best footballers in a few training.

However, there is a trick that working for everyone and every time. Most of the people know about it very well, but never use it. It's called a 30-minute theory. 

Try to spend 30 minutes on something every day and once you get used to it make it 40 minutes, then 50 etc. One of the advantages of this method is it suits absolutely everyone. For example, you want to read more books. Find 30 minutes in your day on reading. Easy, isn't? Therefore, in one year you can read almost 24 books.

Use 30 minutes every day to create a dream come true. Get more information about what you must interested in. Always wanted to learn Spanish? Or maybe want to know French? Do what you have always been putting off. In six months you will look back and remember what you have started with. You will be amazed how you succeed because of the 30 minutes in one day.

Don't blame yourself if you deviate from schedule and missed a few days. Just go back to studying and continue where you stopped. Remember: you are doing more than a lot of people.

Be patient. Don't expect the results on the next day. You need a time. The more ambitious goal you have, the more time you need.

Did you ever wanted to know who is the most translated author in the world? How many times he/she was translated? UNESCO created a online database called " Index Translationum". It includes a TOP 50 translated authors with a list of all books that have been translated all around the world. According to this data, the most translated writers are:

Agatha Christie. Also known as Queen of the crime, is the most successful writer in the world. You may know her as Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple series. She also wrote 78 crime novels, six romantic novels, 150 short stories, and 19 plays! She is the most translated writer with 7236 translations (!) into more than 100 languages (!).

Jules Verne. Remember reading "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and imagining yourself  as the main character? Or maybe you read  "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" ? Jules Verne, often referred to as the "Father of Science Fiction", is the second most translated author with 4751 translations.

William Shakespeare. To be, or not to be? Hamlet, Macbeth, i think everybody have ever heard about William Shakespeare. There is no one who have not heard about tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. The world's greatest dramatist is the third most translated author with 4296 translations.

Enid Blyton. The author of "Famous Five" and "Secret Seven" series has long been favourite in the world of children fiction. Her books were translated 3924 times.

Barbara Cartland. During her career she wrote over than 700 books! That made her one of the most prolific authors of the 20th century. She is one of the most famous romantic novelist. She was often billed as the "Queen of Romance". Her books were translated 3652 times.

What is translation?

So i've told you about the difference between translation and interpreting, now its turn to tell you about each type. First will be translation. I guess everybody knows what is it. But correct to say "Translation is the transmittal of written text from one language into another". 

Some of you may think that translation suggests "just translate the text". In fact it is not so. Translation means interpreting the meaning of the text and transferring it into a new text, equivalent to the original but in another language.

Translation also has to take into account cultural norms, slang, history if it must be and etc. Translator has to know for what audience to translate. Will it be for children or for businessmen, for teenagers or for old women and etc. In translation such information called "background knowledge". It suggests that translator has not only know languages, but the features of languages, the cultural aspects, the age of audience and etc. That is background knowledge. Without it translation won't be complete and correct. 

Now about its types. Translation can be classified by different categories in different areas. There are a lot of classifications that were made by different people. Let me tell you about the most popular. 

Literary translation. It is clear from the name that this type deals with literary texts, i.e. poetry, fictions etc. The main function here is to make “an emotional or aesthetic impression upon the reader”. It is very important to accurately describe all the range of emotions. Because of it translator should understand the literature and “feel” the work that will translate. 

Technical translation. This type involving translation of documents, texts that relate to technological subject areas, i.e. user’s guide, description of some technology, using the specialized terminology of the scientific or technical field involved. “The technical translator is expected to observe the stylistic requirements of scientific and technical materials to make text acceptable to the specialist”. Just for the record, technical translators are playing important role now because of the revolutionary technical progress. 

Mass media translation. In this constantly changing world, it has become important to keep up with latest trend and that’s why translation is important in media to formulate effective strategy. Media is such as vast field that includes all types of information. It could be promotional, advertisement, informational, online and offline content, social media post, mass media campaign and many more. By translating all these one can enhances their capability to reach more customers and this eventually results into more customer sales. 

Business translation. Global business is a reality and it is expanding. The economic benefits of a global economy do not come without their challenges, however, and businesses must deal with the translation of business and legal documents into numerous target languages. These translations entail a number of critical elements that may not be found in many other translation categories.Items that may fall in the realm of business or legal translation include patent documents, depositions, contracts, application letters, birth certificates, strategy guides, marketing and advertising, and even financial statements. Translators who work on business documents must not only have native-level fluency in the languages in which they work, but understand the legal and field-specific terminology used in the documents and comprehend the cultural and legal systems involved. 

Legal translatioin. Legal translation is a translation in the legal sphere, for example, work in legal proceedings or with legal documentation. A legal translator must have knowledge not only language that he/she works with, but also in jurisprudence. Deep knowledge of civil state law is the key to a good legal translation. Legal translation service includes translating: contracts, agreements, court documentation, legislation, articles of association and so more. 

Medical translation. Medical translation is translating various types of documents, such as training materials for healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical fields, marketing or clinical, regulatory, and technical documentation. Many doctors engage the services of medical translators for their patient records, prescriptions, medical history and diagnoses that are written in another language.Medical translation is not just about working with doctors, as there are several other areas where it is needed. For example, in labels and literature pertaining to pharmaceuticals and medical devices sold locally to be translated into the language they commonly use. The translation of medical text is very important for clinical trials in order for patients, local clinicians and representatives of regulatory organizations to understand them. Likewise it is usual for regulatory approval submissions to be translated. 

There a lot of more translation types such as financial transaltion that dealing with translation of texts about finance. Informative translation - the translation of texts of an informative nature, such as journalism and the news and so more.
