“Unicorn Dog Slash Targ”

I am reposting this, with apologies to my five followers, as I forgot to paint the unicorn dog’s antennae.

Attention, visitors to Qo'nos: Alfa 177 canines must be secured by a tractor-leash at all times.

I almost threw a mugato in to show all of the times I could think of when the Star Trek gang slapped a horn on a Terran animal (or animal costume, in the mugato’s case) and called it an alien, but I decided to save the mugato for a future painting.

I reblogged the unicorn dog slash targ painting, and every time I go through my star trek tag and see it I show it to my husband

And every time he coos over the unicorn dog, notices what they are doing, and recoils faintly

At this point he really should know what that animal is doing, but nope

Gets him every time

Dear @spockslash , I’m sorry you died. After you said very kind things about my art I made a spirk painting for you but I wasn’t happy with my Shatner-likeness and repainted the Kirk face a few times. While I was meddling with it you passed away. Sometimes it’s better to be finished than to be happy. Here’s the painting (from 2018) LLAP

Doug Jones as Lieutenant Commander Saru. @actordougjones liked a post on my main blog the other day - cool! I love his movies but I haven't seen Hellboy so I'm excited to hear him talk in Discovery. I wonder if he can breathe through his nostrils in there. Star Trek Discovery and its characters are owned by CBS.
