Sorry to bother you, but I've been confused for awhile and I don't wanna get shamed by the people I know for this question: What is Space Jam (and why is it so important lol), isn't it just that Looney Tunes movie or something..? idk sorry haha

Space Jam is indeed a Looney Tunes movie, but it’s a little different from the typical looney tunes fare because the main character is Michael Jordan (famous basketball player), played by Michael Jordan, and the plot is essentially “the looney tunes characters recruit Michael Jordan to play basketball with them in a game against aliens who have stolen the talents of other famous basketball players.” wikipedia tells me that it’s the highest grossing basketball movie of all time which is a fact that I believe 100%.
now as to how the movie Space Jam relevant to this blog:
it’s about basketball (this is a blog about a basketball anime)
it features the song Space Jam
“come on and slam and welcome to the jam” (our blog title is “come on and slam and welcome to japan”, so,)
if you haven’t heard it, it’s definitely worth a listen
bc so many people have seen and loved it (and bc of the ridiculous premise of the plot - Michael Jordan meeing Bugs Bunny) it’s a pretty popular pop culture reference, and we’re pretty much nothing but a machine that churns out pop culture references
the main villains are colorful animated monsters who have totally unrealistic basketball talents
