I drank a lot of wine in the last few weeks.
Here's the rundown. I'll try to do better about keeping up every few bottles.
From top left:
Coastal Estates moscato: it tastes like juice and even an entire bottle did not get me drunk. Goes great with cheese puffs. Drinkable for $8.
Chop Shop Cabernet Sauvignon: I dream of this wine sometimes. It haunts me. I received this in last month's Club W shipment. By far the best red I think I've ever had. Full bodied but not syrupy. Literally perfect. $13. BUY THIS WINE.
Il Duca Imperiale 1917 Stella Rosa Rosso 2008: Amazing. Light, sweet and bubbly. Perfect with my pasta dinner. Ideal for watching sunsets on your back patio while feeling fancy. $14.99. BUY THIS WINE.
Red Vin Rheinhessen Sweet, 2013: A German sweet red that was very drinkable. I feel like I maaaaybe enjoyed this one a little too quickly. It goes down like grape juice. Excellent value at $9. BUY THIS WINE.
Jellybean Cabernet Sauvignon: I forced myself to finish this. It tasted better the day after I opened it but basically, this wine needed some fruit and rum and to call it sangria. I mean, it was $9 so you get what you pay for?
California Cube Pink Moscato, 2013: So. Here's what we've discovered. This is very good with some frozen peaches in it on a hot afternoon in the yard. This is less good in proper wine glasses after the sun goes down. Definitely for day drinking. I don't know how expensive it was because Shannon bought it.
Loves Me Not Malvasia Bianca, 2013: Another one from Club W. I did not like it at first but it got considerably more drinkable after a few glasses. The bottle said notes of lychee, but I got straight canned peaches juice. I might drink this again? $13
Kitchen Sink Table White: NOPE. I think I tossed the rest of this bottle after three days of sipping occasionally glasses and decidedly not enjoying myself. Not even for $10.
Borolo 2010, red: I'm not in love with it but I don't hate it. It's a different kind of red than I'm used to I think. I don't know what it is because I know fuck all about wine. But it's almost brown in the glass and tastes more earthy than sweet. Goes well with red sauce pasta though. $15
Les Plants Nobles Pinot Noir: Also noped on this one real hard. Couldn't even finish the one glass of it I tried. Husband liked it though so I think it's more me than the wine. I think I'm not a fan of Pinot Noir. $10.
