Hello to anyone coming across this little blog, hope you stick around to look at some art because that's what you'll mostly find here! Besides a few written fics and reblogs scattered here and there-
And while you're here, you can call me by whatever. By my username or real name, I don't mind.
Other Things About This Blog:
While you won't see any explicit sexual content here, I don't shy away from trying to draw gore, body horror and other potentially disturbing visuals or themes. Same goes for my writing. But I add trigger warnings.
I draw what I want, and I don't care to be consistent with my upload time. It can take up to months for me to post something.
If there's any need to talk to me, please do it through Tumblr messages or contact me on Discord (trashyreptilian).
Current fixation: Working on "Replica Hysteria". Formerly reworked from my "Best Friend" AU. Now, it stands as an original thing, no longer an AU, with its own universe and cast of characters. Most work for it will consist of art, writing, character reference sheets, comics/panels, and anything else I might feel like doing for it. Just having fun with it.
Ask Inbox: Open currently. But I just give out direct answers in text, and I don't prioritize them either. Takes a long while until I respond.
Can't a demon smoke a fat fucking cig in peace? Smh,,,
Don't ask me why I decided to do a shaded piece with a background, cuz' it's gonna be a damn WHILE until I do another one. This one's kinda on theme with my last post. Him during his "fighting ring" era, or also his "young" era if you will. Thought I'd be cool to try and visualize where he usually waited until his next scheduled brawl. He won enough times to be given his own private room for him and his trainer. A lot of the spaces where demons gather are only in abandoned, decrepit places. So at least drawing out all the rot and rust was fun hehe,,
Reblogs are appreciated! :>
Extra images showing off the drawing process a bit:
"Just pull yourself together, man... You've got another match to win before your lazy-ass can leave."
--------------------------
Oh yeah, baby. Your favorite snake picked up her tablet pen at last!! Wouldn't have put this off for so long if I wasn't too damn stubborn to fix-up Alfred and Him's bios first akjsdjhgshjdgsagh,,
Art block had me on a chokehold for a while, and I JUST got into the groove of drawing again. Inspiration struck me at last. So have some silly sketches before the main course I've got in the slow works. Gonna be shaded with a background and all that shit hehe,, >:)
The day of birth has fallen upon me once again, time sure loves to go by way too fast,, :P
A shame that art has become increasingly difficult to do during 2025 for me, but I can only stay hopeful that will change at some point. Being an adult with a job sure does suck akjdjsgjhdshds,,,
Holy shit I'm still making art, that's crazy-
Nothing interesting to look at though, just really wanted to make a desktop background of these two for myself.
Another reference sheet done. This one took way longer than expected lmao,,
Reblogs are appreciated! :3

Biography (long read):
-General Info-
Full Name: Him
Age: Ageless (Formed in 1975.)
Height: 8'0'' ft
Gender: Male
Sex: Sexless
Species: Wrath simulacrum (Inceptor)
Homeplace: Huntstrail, Michigan (US)
Romantic/Sexual Orientation: Biromantic Asexual
-Other Info-
Personality?: Him is looked down upon by its own species, gained the status of an outcast during its early years. That's why he typically tries avoiding other simulacrums. However, due to its past connections within an exclusive fighting ring, sometimes it gets embroiled into random fights. Whether they're started by others or by it trying to relieve some stress, trouble finds him either way. His hostile attitude doesn't make it better. One would expect it to display this kind of violence upon humanity, instead of fellow demons. But Him's uncaring on the matter, reasoning that it's acting in self-defense and showing justice for the human lives his kind takes away. It evidently feels far more sympathy towards humans, aware of how fragile and complex they are. He's got a strong fascination for their way of living and thinking. Already gained a lot of knowledge about their many diverse histories in his free time. With its closest relationship being with a human, the odd fondness doesn't come from nowhere. Although having poor management of negative emotions, it represses them for the few he cares about. It can't bear to unload its burden onto anyone. Him tends to be cold in general, but when comfortable he's willing to show his nicer curious side. It knows how to be gentle, he's much softer on the inside than he lets on. When it feels an attachment to someone, he'll slowly display genuine care, and interest in spending time with them.
Thinks Before Acting?: In a neutral state, sure. Unfortunately, that might fly right out the window once it feels agitated. Blinding rage can easily take a hold of its mind. At best, it'll spew out some heinous words and insults, that it may or may not regret later. At worst, making it impulsively lash out like a wild animal.
Positive Traits?: Selfless, inquisitive, caring, persistent, attentive and loyal.
Negative Traits?: Impatient, self-loathing, aggressive, over-protective, stubborn and vindictive.
Way Of Speaking?: Only speaks fluent English and has no noticeable accent in its speech. His voice is low and gravelly, and usually stays at a calm tone. Which makes him more intimidating when talking, without ever having to raise its volume. But if he does, it steadily sounds more demonic. With inhumane growls interrupting its own words when shouting at someone. (Headcanon voice: https://youtu.be/cFHCt0eE3P0?t=5460)
Occupation?: Doesn't have a profession to uphold. Neither does it have any simulacrum related tasks, duties, or anything else alike. He's maintaining strict self-isolation from his community. Any cash and goods that he needs, he steals them. Pretty much how others like him do already. Unless you consider being the surrogate father and only caretaker of a young human adult, a job by itself. Then yes, it still has his hands full with parental responsibilities.
Powers/Skills?: His species have unique powers and abilities. Though, what kind varies. It doesn't just depend on what stage they're at, but which sin they have too. Simulacrums are also far more advanced than humans with their general biology. So while excluding most biological traits in this section, here are all the noteworthy powers to mention. Within biological traits; aura detection and night-vision. Can tell what species someone is by naturally feeling their aura, the other one allows crystal clear vision in the dark. Within evolutionary abilities; body alteration, it can twist and contort his body in whichever way wanted. Best useful when under high negative emotions, as he'll morph into something that gives him a more uncanny and beastly-like look. Surface adhesion, free to walk or sit on walls and ceilings without risk of falling. Personal matter manipulation, power to manipulate the entirety of its own being into a different state of matter. Either black smoke, or black liquid. It's a perfect way to flee and get in through somewhere without notice. In use, he's still sentient and able to talk. But its voice will be much quieter, and toned down. He can also alter his overall shape and volume when materialized. Within sin-based abilities; primal strength. Simulacrums are already much stronger than humans. Now just times that typical strength for a wrathian by at least 10 and maybe more. Him always uses his teeth in combat the most as he possesses two sets of uneven sharp teeth. One appearing up front, the other at the back of the first set. The main drawback for this kind of strength is that in some instances, it may go overboard and reach an animalistic state of mind. Kinda like a severe rush or high. But for someone who's experienced, like it, he manages to use this as a deadly advantage. Heightened senses, perception of external stimuli is very advanced. His sight, smell and hearing are all way more sensitive. One sense that's particularly strong for him, is smell. If there's a strong enough smell to fixate on, he can track down its source. Sometimes, he's capable of visualizing a clear scent trail to follow.
Hobbies?: Most beloved pastime of his is reading books, there's nearly nothing topping that. Soon in its first weeks of living, it quickly grew an intrigue for human literature. Since then it's almost impossible to see it without a book in its hands. Favorite genres are history and biology, texts that explore factual knowledge are its typical go-to. Given the chance, it'll go on a lengthy monologue about an interesting topic it happened to read recently. Happens to enjoy board games too, which is mostly influenced by his son, Alfred. Though, it prefers simple card games. They cause less frustration. One hobby that might be a bit unexpected, is teaching his pet cat tricks. Some context. A different unusual fixation it developed was for felines. Whether it's big wild ones or tiny domesticated ones, he's fascinated by all of them. Due to past circumstances, it couldn't house a cat. When finally given one, it didn't take long to get attached. He started with basic behavior training then moved on to teaching tricks. And it continues to do so, the cat is spoiled to no end as well. Him also likes to roam around random areas of his city at night. While it'd rather spend time inside as a stay-at-home dad, it won't shy away from exploring. He's very careful to not get caught by anyone. It hides and observes from a distance, basic people watching. Arguably, spending time with his son surpasses reading. He does ask but it'd rather wait and let Alfred approach it first. It has rarely refused anything he offers. Even when it felt like it needed to, it's hard to deny his own kid. If they're going outside, it's during late hours so that they can avoid unwanted attention. They do a whole lot of urban exploration and camping.
Habits?: Hard smoker, not a day goes by without a smoke. Sounds really bad but since he's a demon, there are no consequences. He likes the "feel" of it, inhaling the fumes, and unironically loves the odor. When experiencing heavy stress, anxiety or annoyance, it roughly bites at its own skin. More precisely, at his hands or arms. It clings onto the skin, letting his teeth sink in deep. There's been moments where it almost bit off a finger without a second thought. However, the worst tendency it has, is the way he handles his negative emotions. He often chooses to stay quiet and deal with his problems alone. Not even entertaining the idea of asking for help, or discussing matters. Anything serious that happens to it, goes unmentioned for way too long. It'll lie or change the subject when someone tries to bring stuff up, or even hint at something happening. In return, that creates a repeating cycle where it bottles up everything, handles them in an unhealthy manner, picks fights with random simulacrums, and then later acts as if nothing was bothering him to begin with. He essentially convinced himself enough that he's over it.
Relationships? (Simplified): His closest relationship is with a human, Alfred Thorn. He's known them his whole life, Al was 1 years old when it first came to be. Though, why it had to be around the young Thorn family was for a sinister purpose. To replace its human target; Alan Thorn, Alfred's biological father. For that to happen, it needed him to commit suicide, start the "Immutatio" curse. Yet, it stalled, and the target had abandoned the family before anything could be put in motion. There were two options left; hunt the target down, or stay for the child. A simulacrum wouldn't even entertain the second option, let alone think of it, yet Him had grown attached. It developed nurturing instincts, in spite of initial confusion and rejection at the new unnatural feelings. Ultimately, it tackled the role of a father figure, learning all the intricacies that came with it. During early years, he felt very conflicted. Overthinking everything, if what it did was right, or moral as a demon. Took a while until it came to terms with itself, sticking by its decision. Raising a human has in some ways influenced the way it thinks, questioning many things about his own species. He's nowhere near a perfect parent, but he clearly loves Alfred and is overprotective of them. Al gave it a new sense of purpose for its existence, it greatly values that. Even the name "Him", how his son named it as a kid, he kept as a small display of loyalty. One consistent thing it struggles with, is opening up emotionally. Due in part to personal issues, and maintaining a strong front. His tendency to bottle stuff up rubbed off on his boy. Despite that, it wants Al to be nothing but up front, it's not one to dismiss his feelings. It may not have the right advice or words sometimes, as support, he's still by far the best. They've grown a deep familial bond over the years, with a playful friendship mixed in. Him often jokes about how Al is a little shit, but he means it in the most affectionate way possible. There's almost nothing he wouldn't do for them. Both are secretive of their relationship, for obvious reasons. They live together as outcasts, making the best out of their lives while living in a small dingy apartment they call home.
Another guy Him is familiar with; Simon Belrose, Alfred's closest, and only, friend. Without meeting, Him had an idea of what he was like from Al's words alone throughout the years. They didn't seem the type to befriend his son, but he was glad someone did. When both met, by no means was it casual. The first encounter was under tense circumstances, where Simon had to be saved from a simulacrum. He didn't see Him in the friendliest state. Wasn't enough he got traumatized, he also coped with the fact that actual demons were walking amongst people. At that point, finding out how Alfred's dad had been a demon all along was the least worrisome. Some time had passed until he showed up in Al's apartment again. However, it took a while before either spoke a word to each other. It remained avoidant, the last thing it wanted was to make him uneasy. After some awkward glances and persistence from Al, Simon built up the courage to start a conversation. Tension steadily faded as the more he learned, the more at ease he felt in its presence. Thanks to their common love for literature, a friendship slowly grew. It didn't take long for Simon to worm his way into talking about Broadway musicals and everything theater related. He has no trouble rambling about his passions because Him finds his chatters captivating. Even his day-to-day life seems so fascinating to it. Part thanks to how Simon can make things sound way too exciting with how much enthusiasm is in his voice. It has become like an uncle to Simon, a secret family member who's there if needed. All the years to get so closely attached aren't there, yet with how important he is to his son, he still treats them as just another kid of his. Their interactions are usually laid-back. It's often found helping Simon with homework like a tutor, or trading books together. They've pretty much got their own little private book club going on. Nothing too crazy happens between them, unless Alfred gets involved. Otherwise, they both prefer having more relaxed hang-outs.
Moving onto otherworldly beings; Xanthan, a theraangel, is someone Alfred introduced. Prior to that, Him had no idea his son had been talking to an angel. With how Al haphazardly described his relation with them, he made it sound like it was a recent occurrence. The first meeting started out tense, then nearly ended in a fight if it wasn't physically reprimanded. After cooling off, getting a proper explanation, they managed a somewhat level-headed talk. Its paternal relationship with a human and sympathetic nature towards humanity, all made Him a fit candidate for redemption. While very skeptical, the possibility of being freed from its Overlord's influence was tempting. Through lengthy arguments and concerns, they settled on making a deal. In exchange for Xanthan's guardianship over Alfred, he agreed to try and reach for God's redemption. With that set in place, both remained tolerant of each other. Which was harder for Him. At times, it purposely tried getting under his skin to see if he was putting up a façade. Took long until either had some real respect or trust for the other. Whenever physical tasks are in motion, killing high-risk simulacrums, they bond. Commenting about each other's fighting styles and abilities, strategizing their moves, that kind of stuff. Eventually, it grows interested in his past as a former envy simulacrum. Just trying to get a grasp of his character better, which Alfred helps with since he first had the friendlier interactions. And because of the seemingly genuine care Xanthan shows towards its son, Him's guard starts lowering. Their friendship develops when they show the more personal sides of themselves. Him enjoys telling random favorite tidbits from books it read, appreciating the company of a calm listener. While Xan sometimes shows off recent drawings or sketches he's done, even taking its requests if asked. Banter between them happens quite often, throwing jabs and insults in the sincerest tone but lacking spite. They always try to one up each other with how oddly specific they can get. Inside jokes and anecdotes are common too, they share a morbid sense of humor. This unexpected closeness blossoms into something a lot more complicated further in the future. They'll become romantically involved and start dating.
About any possible enemies; typically just other simulacrums fall onto here. Mostly the ones that had a fight against Him, and survived to remember it all. There's no particular rivalry to be had. However, there are certain figures that have left, and will leave, a bigger impact than others. One important demon to mention, a past close friend who was a fellow wrath simulacrum. She went by the name "Angela", and met Him at an underground brawl ring, which itself was exclusive to wrathians. Started with simple work relations, then turned into an actual friendship. She was the one who taught everything about fighting, showing the ropes of being a wrathian to put it simple. Due to some very opposing viewpoints, and a specific event happening, they had no choice but to cut ties entirely. Him has yet to reveal anything about Angela, even Alfred doesn't know. Memories of her still sting whenever he tries to reminisce just a little. Lastly; Lucifer, Hell's Overlord and its creator. Sooner or later, they were informed about Him's transgressions. Failing to kill off its target was one thing. What was truly egregious to them, were the claims that it had saved a human's life. And the rumors going around about it taking care of a human child weren't helping its case either. There was a confrontation, a private one. Lucifer made it clear its actions were immoral, not before trying to discipline it as some sort of last ditch effort. But even then, they did not bother as much. Seeing as it barely ever had any major power or influence built up within its kind, it wasn't worth their time nor care. It was but a mere defect, a loose cog. Once they grew bored of belittling and shaming, they gave a final warning and a farewell. Neither have come face-to-face again since then. All of the Overlord's words ingrained into Him's psyche. While it may no longer hold any allegiance, the fear it has of them still goes deep.

General rules for all of my FCs and OCs:
-While I'm fine with getting inspired by my work, please do not just steal the designs.
-I am uncomfortable with my characters being unknowingly shipped with other people's characters.
-Fanart is all well, great and welcomed! As long as it isn't sexual. I'm fine with gore but please, keep my characters away from your own sexual material.
And here I am with one reference sheet done! Only a FUCK-ton more to go haha,,,

===============================================
Biography (long read):
-General Info-
Full Name: Alfred Thorn
Age: 18
Height: 6'0'' ft
Gender: Male
Sex: Male
Species: Human
Homeplace: Huntstrail, Michigan (US)
Romantic/Sexual Orientation: Greyromantic asexual
-Other Info-
Personality?: Seemingly a mellow kind of guy, just living his life and doesn't attract much attention. Alfred fits in nowhere, yet has long since grown to like that. Prefers to be on his lonesome, people make him weary so he often acts unapproachable on purpose. Not much for showing strong emotions, not around strangers at least. Typical of him to carry a sarcastic "I don't care" attitude and crack jokes at his own expense. Well taught from an early age that showing his softer sides, can possibly be used back against him. This blasé exterior hides an emotionally struggling artist, who's suffered through childhood abuse and still grasping with the trauma. Those mental scars have risen to the surface before, and accidentally showed through unexpected mood swings or frustrated outbursts. However, he's aware of how badly he manages them and regrets any unjust anger he might direct at someone. His heated temper rises when heavily provoked or felt like he's backed into a corner. While he may appear as a complete loner, in reality, the few individuals he's already close to are more than enough. Those guys get to see him in all of his unfiltered, messy, slightly chaotic glory. It's not for everyone, but it's genuine. And with how much he depends on them, there's a strong will to be on the defense for them in any situation. Even if it means bringing trouble upon himself by getting far too hostile.
Thinks Before Acting?: It's a mix with him, either does or doesn't. It depends on the scenario. He'll try thinking over his actions and words when he can sense a bad outcome if he's not careful. Though, he's far from being the most well calculated guy. Bluntness comes in faster than forethought.
Positive Traits?: Nonchalant, modest, imaginative, soft-hearted, protective and audacious.
Negative Traits?: Reserved, insecure, confrontational, defensive, self-destructive and resentful.
Way Of Speaking?: Knows two languages; American English, his native tongue, and Spanish. But it's subpar, everything that he remembers is from the lessons he had in school. On the odd occasion, he tries talking in Spanish around his closest friend, Simon, who encourages it. His voice is relaxed, a bit deeper and raspier than expected for his age, with no particular accent. Loves using a playful sarcastic tone, which makes him sound rude sometimes. (Headcanon voice: https://youtu.be/ki-9AWpa0yU?t=481)
Occupation?: Works as a full-time stock clerk in a furniture store. Assists with unpacking delivered items, organizing the stockroom, inspecting inventory, and so forth. He takes overnight shifts when possible for the extra cash. Of course, the job itself is for financial stability. Otherwise, he cares little about it. He had hoped to have some kind of art career instead, perhaps becoming a cartoonist. Sadly, he's never gotten the opportunity to go through with it as he grew up. It didn't help that he lacked proper confidence in his abilities, and still feels the same to this day. So it all remains but a little self-indulgent fantasy he thinks about.
Powers/Skills?: With Alfred being human, don't expect anything overpowered. However, in his very rare case, having a wrath simulacrum for a parent did have its benefits. As a kid, he was already being trained to at least be able to avoid other demons out in public. A lot of the outdoor games, like hide-and-seek, he played were weird reinterpreted versions of themselves, made harder and tenser. When he turned 16, he got his first weapon as a gift, a pistol Glock 19. With his dad's help, he trained within remote areas, shooting at random junk they could find nearby. Now, he's practiced enough and understands the responsibilities as a firearm owner. When going out late at night, he carries it around him discreetly. Not limited to just a mere pistol. A switchblade is something he has on him everyday. It's Imperial branded, toothpick style with a red and yellow candy-striped pattern on the handle. There's also a metal bat safely tucked away in his bedroom. Safe to say he has a nice small arsenal of weapons to choose from. But for as long as he's known, anything can be a weapon with a creative mind. In a fight, he'll think of some inventive ways to beat up someone. He's not exactly a guy with a strong-build, so he makes up for endurance, stamina and speed. Pretty fast when running, most likely to outrun or outflank anyone. Learned to better pick his fights and escape when needed, he knows his limits. Under high emotions he'll get reckless, which can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on circumstances. Besides all that; practical skills. From past experience, he learned some outdoor tricks throughout the times he's gone camping. Foraging and fishing are one of the calmer activities he likes to indulge in, mostly because it's just finding free food. First aid is another useful thing. He won't be doing any miracles but can patch up bleeding cuts, treat burns and bruises. What he's particularly good at is starting fires. Maybe a little too good. Fire is an odd fixation of his.
Hobbies?: Main pastime is drawing, and it pretty much remained so since he was a child. His style is very expressive, lively and exaggerated. Taken inspiration from his favorite media. Typical for him to use a regular old sketchbook, pages filled with a regular black pencil or pen. But he dabbles in other unique methods, experimenting whenever possible, like graffiti, charcoal, and pastel art. Street art is his most preferred art form, despite the headaches from inhaling spray paint fumes. A more recent hobby is using a camcorder. Although, what he records tends to be random. The footage is either as simple as recording his father’s cat, or as long as recording his activities or pissed-off ramblings. This is good because it eases stress when he uses his camera like a video diary. Not to mention, it's better at preserving memories besides just taking photos. Another way he unwinds is by watching movies, TV series, and playing video games. He loves anything in the horror and thriller genre. Especially if a lot of gore is involved. On the lighter side, all stuff that's animated, comedy or adventure fiction oriented, is ranked highly by him too. And, of course, he collects merchandise related to the media he loves. Considers it a luxury so he's not too gung-ho about spending all of his cash on frivolous items. While these are all things he does on his own, the more "adventurous" outings aren't done alone. Camping and urban exploration, are accompanied by his dad. Can't hang around in broad daylight, so they go out during the dead of night. Driving out of town and seeing where the wind takes them. Though, they do revisit certain places they've been to before. Everything starts casual, until it ends in some sort of chaos when they go overboard. Which means property ends up mysteriously ruined. Alfred being the usual instigator.
Habits?: He often smokes and drinks. The smoking is not as severe as his drinking, it's close to being an addiction. Possibly inherited from his mother's side. Has yet to grasp how poorly his over-indulgence can affect him in the future. Both substances are used when stressed or annoyed, but mostly gravitates towards the alcohol. An insomniac, his sleep schedule has been, and still is, irregular. Tends to be active out of nowhere during late hours, and taking overnight shifts for his job doesn't help. All coupled together, it's easy to imagine his self-care is kinda non-existent. Not to say he's lacking in it, it's out of sheer tiredness and apathy. Irritability is a rather serious issue due to trauma, and a main fueling reason for his reliance on the other bad habits. It only worsens when experiencing a chain of bad events, no matter if they're minor or severe. There's never a clear pattern as he can seem fine in the moment, yet takes but one nudge to tip him off that edge. Resulting in sudden outbursts, then shutting himself off from others entirely.
Relationships? (Simplified): Alfred's dad has remained an integral part of his life. Who happens to be a literal demon, specifically, a simulacrum. It's been the only figure he's ever looked up to and known as family. However, it was supposed to replace his actual biological father, Alan Thorn. Yet that never happened, as Alan had abandoned him at a very young age before anything transpired. Left with a high-functioning alcoholic for a mother didn't exactly do good things to his developing brain. So getting attached to some "funny" looking guy, who's caring, isn't all too surprising. Their bond grew while no one else had a clue about it. Entering his teenage years, Him revealed what he was and what he was created for, but Al was unphased. It really had to hammer in the point of it being a dangerous entity. Unnatural to his world, as it said. Regardless, he didn't care since he had already suspected something. There'd been a few times he saw it lashing out onto other members of its own species. In spite of seeing its more horrific side, he never seemed disturbed. It was scary, but all of it was done for his safety. Him's raw wrathful nature is no secret, he looks past it as over-protectiveness. To this day, he's only seen it attack in self-defence. Many times he's wished to be as reliable strength-wise, or at least be allowed to fight alongside it somehow. Since it's the only role-model he's ever had, he holds it up in very high regard. Any advice he was given in the past, he has internalized. Of course, everything is far from perfect as they both struggle a lot with communication. Opening up emotionally is quite hard, because Alfred would rather handle problems himself. A trait he shares with Him, might as well have been unintentionally passed down. But even with that, he sure isn't afraid to be his loudest around him. Often telling jabs and jokes about it, or making up some dumb harmless pranks to get on its nerves. He's well-versed in all the things that get under its skin. Hell, they even love to roughhouse for fun and Al's allowed to go full force. They're silent about the relationship, for obvious reasons. Nowadays, they live together in a little run-down apartment. Finally secure, in a place they can be their truest selves.
Interacting with a simulacrum nearly his entire life didn't make Alfred the friendliest person. After frequent trouble socializing at school and earning a troubled reputation, he gave up befriending people all-together. But one person did start a friendship with him, Simon Belrose. A new student who joined the same high-school that Al was in. His outgoing personality was nothing new he hadn't seen, so he gave little thought about the new guy. Until they had an interaction, in which Simon showed genuine appreciation for his art. It wasn't in a condescending manner, or a passive compliment he's heard 100 times. Just curiosity. Still, he was his usual dismissive self. Took sometime before he got nicer. Most, if not all, of their passing meet-ups were initiated by Simon. The persistence was daunting, and his friendliness even more so. Despite their shaky start, Alfred steadily softened up around him. First noticed when he scared away any bullies that picked on him. Over the years, they've grown very close as friends. Helping each other while they navigate through young adulthood. At a glance, they seem like polar opposites, and they are to an extent, yet both are creative thinkers. One expresses it with drawn lines, the other, body language. Al has helped Simon with some of the school plays he's organized in the past, and will again if asked. Though he says he makes no promises, he tends to spend far too much time even on smaller requests. Like he's compensating for something. In general, he rarely denies him outright. No matter how many displeased groans he lets out in protest. Alfred knows he's not the most pleasant guy to hang with. Very apparent when his explosive side takes charge and Simon has to defuse tensions, or apologize for his behaviour. That's also a reason why he never tags along with Simon's other friends. Nonetheless, as a duo, they're great. Hangouts can be at any location, casual or somewhere outlandish, they'll find a way to get the best out of it. Al enjoys provoking people, Simon is no exception for him. Random screaming matches happen often and out of nowhere, which then end in fits of laughter.
Back onto otherworldly beings; due to Alfred's connection with a demon, it piqued a certain figure's curiosity. A theraangel named Xanthan. Once he was on their radar, a series of unusual circumstances led to a proper meeting. The entire situation was nerve-wracking, enough that Al caused a brief scuffle. Far as he knew, the guy was some creepy stalker following him around for who knows how long. Their true intentions were puzzling. So Xan revealed himself as an angel, it helped to ease some concerns. Of course even then, more explanations were needed if they wanted his trust. Later on, they became his angelic guardian as part of a deal. In which Him accepted to try and achieve God's redemption in exchange for extra protection. While he could tell this guardianship was a mere obligation on Xanthan's part, that didn't stop him from wanting to know more about them. His first attempts at conversation were comparable to talking to a brick wall. Eventually, he backed off a bit and let him carry on with work. What brought out some actual dialogue is their shared interest in art. It helped them to connect better, without even needing to say anything at times. Started with a few quick glances over another's sketches, then evolved into sharing their individual drawing techniques. Alfred was rather eager to share weird facts about his favorite artists, especially to a fellow art history enthusiast. To his surprise, it turns out his guardian angel isn't an emotionless statue. When he can't get much insight about Heaven, he usually asks about his past years during the 1940s. If lucky, he can pester him enough to have combat training of his own like his dad has. And since they're the oldest guy he knows, he steadily views them as a mentor, bordering on father figure. Seeking out his advice for certain matters, ones that are harder to talk about with Him. Whether he'll ever say it out loud or not, Alfred sees parts of himself in Xanthan. The former just happens to be a bigger antisocial prick than he is. But there is also a chaotic edge to them, one just needs the commitment to bring it out. Though in Al's case, it's second nature.

I know you're changing the au name and some other things but will the Archangels still be a thing if so are you drawing the others?
Sorry if this is random I just love their designs and other info about them. You do a really good- great job actually at making characters and giving life to them
Not random at all, dude! The archangels are still a thing, and some day I'll get to drawing them all. Though, the first ones on the list will be Raphael and Michael. Since they still remain the most important ones. To me at least hah-
On a somewhat similar topic, everything that I had thought up for my version of Heaven has remained fairly unchanged. Which is a nice relief for my little brain. :')
I bet you guys didn't think I'd be making another post this month. But unlike the last two posts, this ones unrelated to them and just a tad bit more on the positive side.
Wasn't sure when I should bring this up but I'm feeling okay to do this now. This is about my "Best Friend" AU. For the past week, I've given it some thought and decided to turn it into an original project. It was that, or dropping it entirely like an unwanted child. Luckily, the AU had barely stuck to the canon lore or story that I feel like it was due to become its own thing at some point. Shame I didn't have the gull to do that way fucking sooner. Oh well, better now than never, right?
Best Friend AU is changing into "Replica Hysteria", it's own little thing, original universe and all that. Meaning that it isn't an AU anymore, and I don't associate it with TMC either. I went through a writing frenzy these past days, going over some of the world-building/lore I had and did rewrites where need be. Now that I feel pretty much done with that, I'll be moving onto doing new reference sheets for the characters.
So yeah- That's all I have to say here. I'm open to answering questions if there might be any.
Making another quick separate post about this for tonight. This is in relation to my previous reblog. Again reminder, if anyone in the TMC community here hasn't seen it yet. There's been a 27 page google doc released on Twitter (by stirringjuice), that has detailed a lot of disturbing behavior coming from Alex Kister. Not to mention, a lot of said behavior was supposedly directed towards minors. Please take the time to look at it before even reading anything of what I have to say here.
I'm personally still waiting and trying to find out more about this entire unfortunate situation. I just want to state this most importantly:
I'm all for letting each sides to speak out, including the accused. But something about this particularly, leaves me with a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach and makes me believe in the worst outcome. If Alex's response turns out to be complete and utter dogshit, or he just FULLY admits to everything.
It'll be the final straw for me. I'll no longer associate myself with "The Mandela Catalogue". I can't bring myself to indulge in the works of someone who might have acted so disgustingly. It's just not right to me at all.
To anyone else who will still continue to engage with the series, good for you. I personally don't care if you choose so. I really don't. I WISH I could dissociate the artist from the art, but I can't. I've grown such a high respect and admiration for Alex and his art. Everything he's done has had his, "feel" to it, if that makes sense. As far as I'm aware, he's the main writer of TMC. He's the sole core of it. So I can't remove the artist in this case, I genuinely I can't.
So I'll say this lastly. Please, please. Take a long look at this situation at your own pace and time. Decide for yourselves, if you really think this guy's work will even be worth your time anymore.
I'm also adding just a few more links that I think are worth seeing too.
Kyle DeNigris, the voice actor for Gabriel, has already gone out to say that they will no longer be associating with TMC. https://twitter.com/ItsameWario48/status/1767620005997281526
Martin Walls, the creator of "The Walten Files", has also spread awareness to the main doc published by stirringjuice. https://twitter.com/smiles_bunny/status/1767616374778503250
It's entirely possible that I've missed out on a lot more I could link. So I highly encourage others to reblog more with other people's statements. I'm doing this for anyone who might not be active at all on Twitter, like I am as well.
I rise from the shadows and arrive with art once again-
More interactions between Mark and Him, cuz' content of them on my blog is severely lacking believe it or not lmao,, So please, have a mini collage and 3 little random drawn out scenarios. :>
