What’s the point of love if the love does not have claws and fangs, not to turn inwards and destroy, but teeth to bare as a threat at those who threaten to harm you or your loved ones and claws to tear apart those who would intend to hurt. Anger, and pain are a part of love but not to be directed at the lover. Instead, fury derived from suffering that never needed to happen, pain to those who had made them suffer.

Pain is a prerequisite of love. But lover mine, if anyone ever tries to use that as an excuse to hurt you then turn their words back on them and make them regret betraying your trust. You have claws and fangs of your own, after all.
