Who taught them how to read?

Rant under cut (not bad. The vibe is speculative).

Clearly, this is a result of the link they have with the kids but that has so many implications.

If they learned language and writing, then what else would the links have given them and why was it so limited? It clearly has access to Mo and Robbie's head so why not share memory or share thoughts or give control?

Also, how linked are these kids anyways, this link seems very invasive. Especially considering the cyber-sleeves can't be removed (haven't gone past s3 ep 1 so if any other info has been revealed, I'm not aware. It's also been awhile since I watched the show so correct me if I'm wrong and enlighten me if I'm ignorant. But please keep s3 and 4 plot points vague. I want to feel surprise (read: disappointment) first hand).

Also, what's controlling the cybersleeves? What were the instructions? Why did it require Mo and Robbie touching it to awaken? Why is it so invasive? Why did it create the cybersleeves and the link between the Terrans and Maltos? How is it aware of its users? (s2 where Mo talked to Quintus) If a bunch of moles or other animals touched the stone, would the terrans still have been created as they are in the show? Would they have been made off of animals? Would they have been made at all? If someone else had touched the stone, would the terrans be different people? And not in the raised them differently, I mean molecularly different people. Was the terrans' personality influenced by Mo and Robbie? (A real Adam and Eve story if that's the case) If the stone was touched by someone older and more mature would the terrans have grown up faster? Be born with maturity? Or would they still be kids? Are Terrans fully technological cuz they drink water- special water but still (Actually, if that's the case, then cars are partly organic cuz it requires oil. Are they 🤔)

My head is buzzed in a tired way cuz I've been waking up early and sleeping late and I would nap but I'm at work and I just started and it's embarrassing 😞

So if the post is kinda weird and all over the place then c'est la vie.

The cyberlink is so poorly fleshed out and underexplained. I've also found it so horrifying from the start.

And Robby and Mo definitely influenced their creation.

Robby's a competitive gamer and missed his friends. Twitch is competitive as hell and always up for anything Robby wants to do. She does what he wants.

Mo wanted a big brother who would never leave her. And Thrash is very rarely seen without Mo. If Mo's got screen time Thrash is never far.

Then there's the triplets. The Maltos were in danger both immediate from the cave in and they were scared for Dot. Hashtag, Jawbreaker, and Nightshade are all much bigger and stronger. Jawbreaker whose name is Mo's favorite candy.

(worth noting that Skywarp was the one holding the emberstone when it finally reacted - it was not reacting at all to mo and robby or the terrans just prior)

Then there's the behemoth Aftermath who came into existence when Breakdown was feeling cornered and ganged up on. And Twitch was obsessed with training a bunch of lookalike drones and getting so frustrated that they weren't smart like her. There's definitely a pattern of the users, human or transformers, molding the Terrans with their own desires and wants.

But it's also worth noting that they do have differences. Like how Twitch is super into rules and loved doing chores even though neither Robby or Mo did. Like how Nightshade knew their own name without being told and they're super independent compared to the other Terrans. Like how Thrash starts getting more skittish and wary going into season 2 over his very daredevil persona in season 1. The Terrans do seem capable of being more than what they were created to be. Though the Terrans didn't have any autonomy over their base creation they do seem capable of changing and becoming something other than what they'd been made to be.

And then there's the puppeting! The episode where Twitch and Thrash are low energy and straight up control Mo and Robby!! Thrash makes Robby jump out of his seat and say what he was saying! I love it it's so horrifying (and this is a plot point that will come up one and only one more time in this show and it's a bit underwhelming the potential The Potential!!) The kids and the terrans are connected physically as well as emotionally and there's so much lost potential on how legitimately horrifying that is.

Overall yeah the cyberlink was not explored or explained satisfactorily. It's so horrifying and so fun and I love thinking about how messed up it is.
