Learned about alter blending today and am working more on unblending

Basically in as simple of terms as I can convey it in

Blending - Two alters fronting at once, neither feeling like they have control, sometimes the blended part feels like a new alter has split but it is not usually

Unblending - Learning to step back and let that alter trying to cofront take full front

Unblending is beneficial in the way that the alter trying to cofront can feel like they can actually be themselves and do the tasks they need to do for the system/body

It can also encourage them to front and express themselves more and allows the person who felt as though they were doing all the tasks alone or stuck in the front to have a break and not expend so much energy

Happy birthday to me I had my friend who travelled cross country just to see me ripped away from my arms and shoved into a hotel room where I can't go

All my plans are fucked now because my mother is a racist piece of shit who can't handle me having anyone from the outside world in this shitty place

My energy was so high and positive and now it's tanked and just. Gone. Taken away like everything else I've ever had around her

But I'm supposed to put on a happy face

When all I can do is spend my money to keep us afloat

Not even get myself a cake

Uber may not even pick me up to even go see my friend or do anything I don't know what to do

I just want to have a nice birthday why is that simple ask always such a fucking disaster every year I stg the only time it wasn't was when my friends I used to have live around here grabbed me away from my mother and threw me a surprise party

I still treasure that

My friend from across the country gave me a birthday present from the window of the car as we were about to go back to my house from dropping them off at the hotel and I almost broke right then and there

It shouldn't be this way. Theyre so kind. They didn't do anything and my mother is punishing them. Punishing both of us.

I had a massive dissociative episode in front of them. I never wanted them to see me that way.

Am I truly too difficult

Is it really that hard to let me have a birthday

Why does everything have to revolve around my mother's comfort

I want to leave

I want to leave and never come back

But the guilt of leaving my father would forever be on my back

I truly don't ever want to see my mother again.
