This spoke to me. Lately, I’ve been feeling a tad bit chaotic granted I just moved and there’s things getting cleaned up so I am feeling the shift of peacefulness here and there. However, small old habits are coming back and I need to remind myself to take time and stop being so hard on myself. The other day I saw a friend of mine which is now walking distance of me 🙂 reminded me this is an adjustment period. It’s ok to not have everything aligned or make sense you’re working towards whatever it is, trust yourself. Here’s five pick me ups I jotted down that I do when I feel out of balance and need to just zen the eff out.
The app is an app called TinySpark by astrologer Jessica Lanyadoo. If you ever feel a little down or need a sense of grounding just open her app and tap with intentions see what message pops up for you.
For those who follow me on Insta, y’all know I’ll go spend money on some shiny rocks earth makes lol. These stones (sometimes hiding in my pocket) lol are my go-to not in this order or used all together.
Smokey Quartz: used for grounding during meditation session. Smokey Quartz teaches you how to leave things behind that no longer serves you. It helps to eliminate negative emotions such as fear, jealousy, anger, and helps depression* (doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go see someone, please do.) I like to use my smokey when I feel doubt, I second guess myself a lot and I lose sense of positivity in my life.
Black Tourmaline: is good to have readily, at least that’s how I have mine. It’s a great protection stone, it protects against all negative energies. Promotes rational thinking, for me, who is always around my laptop and cellphone I like to have it around or on my gadgets. With the news and trolls out there it just helps enjoy my inter webs experience lol.
Amethyst: My stress relief buddy. This stone helps with stress, addictions, and anxiety. It is considered a spiritual stone it enhances intuition and works with the third eye. Amethyst has many benefits to it, you choose what works best for you, what gravitated me towards it besides stress, I suffer from anger and recently with grief. It promotes a calming ease, helps with my sleep as well I like to have it by my bedside.
Rose Quartz: Some call it the Love stone, I use it for self love. This was my first stone to work with 10 years ago when I received it as a gift. I loved what it stood for especially being ruled by Venus ❤ anything love sits with me, it’s a good stone to start with. Rose Quartz helps with unconditional love, opens the heart chakra, brings inner self love. It is a calming stone as well, works with crisis or trauma, eliminates negative energies with loving energies. Plus it’s pretty in pink 😉
Citrine: “pocket full of sunshine.” it’s my happy stone as some of my friends call it lol. It’s orange, bright and it gives you that happy sensation, also for the solar plexus chakra. Like an Amethyst, Citrine has many beneficial properties available, it’s a source for cleansing and regenerating your energy level. It is referred sometimes as one of the abundance stone, if you’re into crystal gridding you can find an abundance grid with Citrine being used. Teaches us about how to attract wealth, prosperity, and all the joys that you can think of lol. 🙂 happy see? I work with Citrine a lot, crystal grid and house gridding, that you can find ways to do in your home on Pinterest .
Read something you enjoy!
You don’t feel right? That’s cool sit down before bed time and read something you like. For example, I like astrology and Better Homes and Gardens (haha yes it’s my guilty pleasure) reading these things helps me to let go of stress and unnecessary worries.
I believe in going outside and letting go for a bit, living closer to the city now it’s been a little challenging to find quieter areas to go through but I found times in my area that isn’t as busy as that works out. Walking/running helps let the body release tensions it’s even help as a mood booster. I’m not a doctor, this is just based of personal experience :).
I have my “battle buddy(ies)” ready to go. What is that you ask? I forgot what app or site I saw this on but thought it was clever. If I feel down or need friends advice on something that has me stressing or sad I have my people I go to. Designate your best friend, boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife, anyone you feel closest with, to call and need someone to tell you it’s going to be a-okayyy. Venting is good, dwelling on the situation is going overboard. If not, it’s ok to see a therapist, personally think we all need one, do not @ me LOL.
Just remember we are all in this together kiddies, let’s not act like we aren’t. 🙂
this is me with nails bare af, hair semi done (it’s washed and that to me is good enough), and coffee, of course.
