Culmea principala, acoperita in mare parte cu pajisti punctate de unele stancarii izolate, incepe in Curmatura Fagetel (1395 m) si atinge Varfurile Fagetel (1589 m), Tulisa (1792 m) - care este si cel mai inalt pisc al masivului, Coasta Laturii (1695 m), Mic (1530 m), Oborocii (1545 m). Incepand cu Varful Muncelul (1360 m), culmea de aici impadurita si pe alocuri impoienita coboara treptat sub limita de 1000 m (Vf. Hogii, 969 m) si sfarseste in Pasul Banita (759 m), la contactul cu Muntii Sureanu.
