“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller
A destination is never a place, is a way of seeing the thing, culture, people, scenery of the destination are you visiting.
I was 8 years old on my first trip, and It was to Miramar, a little place in South America, the Atlantic coast of Argentina. This is the place where I am writing this article now.
I decided to start this blog right here, in this place because this is where I grew up.
I used to travel with my family. Mom, Dad, my three siblings, two cousins and a friend. My parents loved to travel with a lot of kids. My father had a “Ford Mondeo’ family”, so, in that times, all the kids were traveling in the back seat of the car. Was really awesome, I have good memories of my siblings, cousins, and friends.
Miramar is a special place for kids, is known as “City of the Children” because Miramar offers natural settings surrounded by forest, countryside, and sea, it is so quiet, people and children can walk for all places without a care about car drivers. People over here use the bicycle, rollers or walk as a way of moving from one place to other.
In the nights the pedestrian "9 de Julio" and the main squares are in the sights of tourists. The street shows with clowns and jugglers, handicrafts, sop stores, theatres and others.
Miramar is only 40 km from Mar del Plata the city grew strongly as a summer destination in the last 10 years, becoming one of the most significant family tourist references.
With its wide beaches and modern facilities, the city has lot of things to offer like spa, swimming pools, tents and sunshades, solarium, sauna, massage rooms, places with games rooms for the little ones, nurseries, wifi internet, barbecue areas, lounges, showers and changing rooms, restaurants, parking lots and even libraries.
Also, it has classic sporting events such as beach volleyball championships, rugby sevens, surf and soccer tournaments, bodyboarding, kite surfing, diving, kayaking, windsurfing, rowing, jet skiing, boat rides and canoes.
Miramar is a modern and cultural city, with qualities of the sea, forest and countryside, which merge to express a prominent place on the Atlantic Coast of Argentina.
