I was telling this guy about a workplace issue I had a few years ago with an elderly woman who had it out for me and I was explaining that I tried to understand her perspective— it’s hard to feel pushed aside when someone young and new enters the workplace and was about to launch into some speech about the intricate dynamics of female relationships in the context of patriarchy and he was just like “oh yeah.. it’s just like in Toy Story. You were Buzz Lightyear.”
