lie to me
The 72-year-old British actor also had roles in shows including Merlin and Little Britain.
:((((((((((
I’m sorry but buffy stabbing faith being one of the most intimate moments either of them had ever experienced before and you expect me to be normal?
“is this your head or mine?” “Does it matter?” And you expect me to be normal??
“What are you going to do B, kill me? Kill me you become me, and you’re not ready for that.” *forehead kiss* “not yet” and you expect me to be normal????
*the gentlest forehead kiss ever shown on screen mirroring the earlier mocking forehead kiss after the shared dream and intimate stabbing* and you expect me to be normal??????
Faith deciding to do the right thing while she’s in Buffy’s body because she wants to feel what it would be like to actually be Buffy and even if she’s not actively pretending to be Buffy in the moment Buffy would do the right thing so Faith is going to do the right thing while in Buffy’s body and you expect me to be normal??????????
After they switch their bodies back there’s a few moments where they can feel each other’s emotions like their own and you expect me to be normal??????????????????
Buffy punching Faith hard enough that her lip bleeds and Faith smiles and says “there’s my girl” and I’m supposed to be normal?????????????
Faith is supposed to represent all of Buffy’s repressed desires and feels a longing for something that she can’t name every time she’s around Faith (read somewhere that those were the notes given to smg for season 3) and I’m supposed to be normal????????????????????
Buffy had already died and come back once, had her boyfriend lose his soul after having sex with her and tormented her and her loved ones for months after, was kicked out of her home by her mom just for being herself, and a million other things and yet the person who’s made her feel the most vulnerable is Faith and I’m supposed to be normal????????????????????????????
Every single guy Faith showed an interest in is connected to Buffy (usually romantically) and you expect me to be normal??????????????????????????????????????????
“it feels like mine, which probably means it’s yours.” “It’s ours” and I’m supposed to be normal????????????????????????????????????????????????
this is a confession scene!!
“ive lost battles before, but nobody else has ever made me a victim” like come on
Something I will never get over is how Giles just leaves.
He confronts Willow about her magic use after raising Buffy from the dead, and being a young cocky person she ignores him. Then when Tabula rasa comes around and she’s really amped up her magic abuse and has actually started to hurt those around her, he just goes. Sure he’s leaving because he thinks Buffy relies on him too much and she needs to be independent (which is a whole other issues itself. she’s barely into her 20s, has lost her mom, and now has to single parent her little sister on top of the saving the world stuff. Not to mention the dragged out of heaven of it all.)
He just watches Willow start down the same path he spend his youth lost on. And he just leaves. In his youth he was a bright young man with a future, then he was Ripper, a trouble maker who abused magics and rebelled and had dangerous demon possession orgies.
She looked up to him. She trusted him. And he left. She was young and stupid and cocky and so much like a young Giles. Giles had been there. He had acted out and hit rock bottom. He knows what it's like, and he just leaves. He’s been there, he knows how bad it can get and he still goes back to England.
I think Giles does see a lot of himself in Willow and realizes that he should have been there for her. And that’s a big part of the reason he takes her to England for rehabilitation. After everything that happened in his youth he had a chance and was able to turn his life around and name a real meaningful difference in the world. He had to give the same chance to Will.

It's such a shame Buffy Summers was written with peter parker teenage role model rules so she does things like sticking to her good honest fast food worker job instead of blackmailing the corporation she works for about lying to their customers. and getting picked up by police literally 5 seconds after she tries to shoplift for the first time instead of getting to have crazy lesbian sex with faith right then and there in the store
I can’t find the post now but whoever said they had Buffy dressing for church in s3 (as a reflection of her relationship with Angel as well as a more drastic contrast to Faith) thank you and I can’t stop thinking about that phrasing.
I mean anytime I see s3 Buffy I immediately think “she’s in her church clothes again”
Faith and Buffy’s entire deal simply makes more sense under the lens of Buffy being a deeply repressed bisexual
