Radiant Light - stained glass from the Canterbury Cathedral in England.  

A new exhibition at the Cloisters, the medieval branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.   The installation consists of six stained glass windows from the Canterbury Cathedral in England. The windows created in 1178 - 80,  over 800 years ago,  represent the ancestors of Christ.  This is the first time these windows have traveled outside the cathedral grounds.

A Brief Change of Season

  This year's NYBG (New York Botanical Garden) Orchid Show's theme is Key West Contemporary and it is an orchid lovers delight.  Soft pastel green walls provide the background and the sound of running water soothes the spirit.  If you're weary of winter the show offers a brief change of season and even winter lovers like me enjoy the warm environment that surrounds the beauty and color of thousands of orchids.
