what if, somewhere after Cry Dinosaur, the kids decide to tell Sporp some more about dinosaurs and he goes from pretending to be afraid of them for Ziggy’s sake to openly loving them as much as he does all creatures ( partly in effort to help Ziggy overcome his fear, partly bc that’s just how Sporty is ) and at some point Sparky’s all excited, “Let’s Go And Meet One! Where Do They Live?” or something

and then you know just when he finds out that dinosaurs aren’t that they’re not alive anymore.

bonus points if the kids respond to “where do they live” with like a laugh and they just take that as ‘where are they’ and so tell Sporp that Museums Have Dinosaurs, which he seems to find a little weird but he goes with it

and then they get to the museum and he Realizes™

I still can’t believe the GALL of Sportacus to tell Ziggy that it’s okay, everyone’s afraid of something and when the child is like “even you sportacus?” hes just like “no”

Sportacus went through one of the strangest character evolutions, from terrifying elf who breaks into your house and bullies you into eating raw fish, to a good and pure bean who loves and supports you no matter who you are and what lifestyle choices you make and is basically a huge excitable hyperactive child.

idk if in the fortune teller episode Sporp was conscious enough to really sort of…comprehend what was going on when Robbie picked him up, like if after that incident there remained any knowledge of “oh geez he can do that” or if he was so out of it at the time…if he had any idea later on so whether Sporp knows on any level that Robbie is capable of physically picking him and moving him is another thing entirely BUT

Sporp needing to reach something that’s high up and getting ready to jump or climb or kick-flip for it because that’s how he do but Robbie, who is, that day, at a very special level of done-with-Sportaflop can’t stand the idea of any more jumps or flips so naturally he just grabs Sporp before he can jump and picks him up like he’s Simba and Sporp.exe immediately experiences a critical processing error he’s so shocked he just kind of hangs there in dumb elf-confusion ‘wha-’ when it catches up to him that Robbie just picked him up Sporp.exe completely crashes and has to restart and at this point he still hasn’t even grabbed the thing he was trying to reach so Robbie eye-rolls and shakes him a bit like ‘come on seriously’

once Sporp finally gets in gear and gets whatever thing he catches up to what’s happening enough to start asking Questions so naturally Robbie just Drops Him, gets in a one-liner, and stomps off

personally i would like to be, as they say, ‘savage’, and i do have some vicious comebacks but my desire to never be deliberately rude to anybody outweighs that and i just wonder if sporp is like that too?

like could he verbally destroy someone in a heartbeat if he finally had enough, or (more likely) he’s really just a better person than i am and the thought never crosses his mind?

i mean we all know Íþró could and would and probably does but Sporty is another creature entirely

This is a lot like in Breakfast at Stephanie’s, when it didn’t occur to him that someone was pushing him Maybe he just can’t accept that someone would be that mean, and immediately assumes he must be screwing up? And now I made myself sad

Yeah! He seemed to be ignoring it until he realized the kids were concerned, and then his immediate response was that he “must need to practice more”, not even considering that there might be something else going on that wasn’t a him problem.

Same exact thing in Roboticus, he just immediately accepted that the ‘other superhero’ must be better than him and that he’d “need to practice more” to earn the right to stay. He didn’t even try to argue.
