this song had me in tears for an entire day. I think Con probably listen to it about the time that Ty and Benny did. like I don't think this was a surprise to him. Also how special you have to be for someone that they write you 2 songs. I feel Con was Tro (not last) 1st true love. it feels like closure for sure.

OOOOOOOOOOKAAAAAAAAAAYY is it just me or does anyone else feel like the song was about connor? like not as in an “oh i still love you so much xoxoxoxo we’re getting married soon don’t worry bb” but as in a “i’ll always be here for you and i apologize for any things we left unspoken” kind of way. a farewell song to their past relationship basically. 

like some of these lyrics just make me think of tronnor (yes ik it’s dead now but still) 

Examples:

“the people danced to the sound of your heart, the world sang along to it falling apart” this could imply that after the break up, connor put on this happy ‘i’m fine’ facade in front of the cameras to satisfy his fans and make us happy leading us to not realize that he was literally falling apart on the inside.

“traveled the universe twice” troye’s tours

“so many thoughts wanted to share but i didn't call because it wouldn't be fair” troye wanted to share everything he felt and experienced while on tour with connor but he just couldn’t because they weren’t together anymore and it wouldn’t be fair to the either of them since they’re tryna move on from each other and it would also feel like rubbing in connors face that troye was doing better things after breaking up with connor

“i know how it looked it wasnt the plan” translation: i know how it may look like. like as if i never really cared about you but that isn’t it at all and i never intended to make it seem like that.

“we’ll meet in the spring catch up on everything i’ll say i’m proud of all that you’ve done” translation: we’ll meet again some day and we’ll be okay. we’ll talk about how you’re being sucessful with common culture, your books, photography. 

“i got the good side of things”  translation: i got the good side of the breakup. (sorta reminds me of the song ‘breakeven’  you know that part “cuz when heart breaks no it don’t break even” which i always thought meant that when theres a break up one person gets affected way more than the other. an uneven heartbreak experience basically)
