His blade work is impressive, Stefan thought, pulling his sword from its sheath. But he didn’t have much time to admire Edward’s skill—the bandits knew there was a foreigner in their midst, and it seemed they all attacked him at once.
They were no match for him, though. Stefan almost laughed as he sliced throats and tendons, flipping over bandits and crouching low to avoid their blows. He was practically dancing in Edward’s direction, dodging axes along the way.
"You know not who you’re up against!" he cried, laughing as weapons clanged. When he got within shouting distance of Edward, he raised a bloodied hand in greeting. "I can always count on Daein for a warm welcome!" He twisted out of the path of a falling axe; it barely missed him, slicing through the hem of his robe. "Now, that wasn’t nice," he pouted, going for the guy’s wrist.
"Can't you tell? We're known for these kinds of welcomes!" Edward shouted back cheerfully, laughing as he did so. He rolled back, dodging one of the bandit's vertical axe attack. Then, he rushed towards the bandit, and flipped. Caladbolg sliced the foe vertically, sending him back a few feet, while Edward landed gracefully on his feet. He wouldn't tell anyone, but that was one of his favorite attacks.
After parrying the axe-wielding brutes' attacks, and incapacitating them by slicing at their legs, Edward found himself next to the green-haired trueblade. Edward saw that blood had stained his blade.
Suddenly, Edward could see three bandits near him. He felt an energy within him, before he began to attack with the adrenaline rush he was feeling. Edward sped through, and cut one bandit down that was in front of him with two strikes. Then, he took out the bandit that was on his right with a spinning blade attack. Finally, the last bandit was on his left. Edward ran towards the bandit, and flipped, slicing the blade vertically on the bandit. Then, when Edward reached the ground, he sped forward, slicing the bandit horizontally. The last bandit on his side fell before him, before Edward turned to Stefan to see what he was doing.
