I wanted to try and see if I could actually use thing like soda can for cosplay. For a first time tryout, it came out pretty okay! I might use things like soda cans for some cosplay parts in future. Repurposing and recycling for the win!

Notes: 1. Use piping bottle or bag wit nozzle, might help keeping the glue line smoother preventing uneven run. 2. Might want to get better gold paint for next time. Try shiny metallic golden spray. 3. Measure next time to fit the gem perfectly between the rims. 

If this is helpful to any of you who might  come across with this. Yay! 

Be cautious when trying to cut cans and when handling the cut metal!  Sand the edges just to be sure and see that there isn't any sharp edges to hurt you when you finish the Tiara.

Illustration sketch to Anthrology. Anthro themed comic antology (in english), where to I am also drawing comic. She is part of the story. We only plan having small amount of the prints for the first print anyway. One of the artists, Hanna-Pirita http://hannapirita.tumblr.com/ is visiting Chicago Alternative Comics Expo and she plans to have few prints of it to sell and display. I'll post more info and links when we get a page or something up about the antology.

Fanart with watercolors

Three about A5 size fanart works for friend. Used watercolors, white gel pen and Pigma Sakura Migron 005.

It was fun to do three pictures that had very different feelings in them. As you see, these all are made in 2014 and since I had not yet put these up anywhere, I decided it was a time. How could I just keep these from you.

 So here is my customized Monster High doll. I have used Granita as her workname, not yet sure if it will stay. She was begin with Rochelle Goyle from Ghoul Chat, Double doll box. Catrine DeMew that came in it shall go to my friend, since I don't have use for her.

This is her first face-up, probably not the last since I'm not completely happy with it. I used Army Painter "anti-shine" matt varnish for the base and the make-up itself is made using watercolor pencils with tiny brushes. (note to self, get tinier brushes)

I made her a room corner for this photoshoot, but it was just temporary thing. Hint: I bought this tiny log pillow from https://www.tiger-stores.com/ store in Finland and it happens to be perfect bed for MH doll <3 I'm going to let her keep it.

Far too long I have not had courage for some reason to draw anything else than characters that have light skin, have blond or brightly colored hair. Were they human or fairy kind of sorts. It about time to try and learn to draw ethnic people of all kind and people of all shapes too..
