When you were a kid and they said "oh its just baby fat you'll grow out of it" and then you don't think your eating habits are bad and continue to do them and continue to gain weight. That's toxic shit.

If someone had just told me to lay off the mcdonalds as a kid then I might have a healthy relationship to food. Instead they blame it on the baby fat and the problem is never fixed. As a kid the adults in your life are responsible for making sure you are healthy. I wasn't. And now I'm 23 still struggling with food bouncing from binge eating to anorexia.
