SaMs Venting But Its Actually Safe For Kids

Heya there SaMs fandom, I’m making this blog as the original SaMs venting blog has decided to support a known pedophile and isn’t a safe space to vent anymore, especially for kids.

Yes, gore anon vents are allowed, thought do be warned I might not pick up on any malicious vents if they are fandom based ones, so please keep that in mind incase I reply to an ask without knowing it was actually bad.

I utterly despise that the show decided to give Moon a kid, especially the way they did it. There’s just so many things wrong with this decision:

Moon had never once expressed interest in raising a child and yet he suddenly decides to take care of a random kid who he has never met before. Moon has shown no proof that he would be a good parental figure either.

There’s zero build up to this happening. If the show had established that Moon had expressed interest in raising a child or his opinion on kids had changed, then maybe it could’ve worked, but they didn’t and it’s just so sudden.

The kid Moon took in had nothing established about them. They only made one appearance before Moon took them in. One. How am I supposed to care about this kid and if them and Moon would be a good pair if I know absolutely nothing about them?

When Moon took in the kid, they literally MURDERED THE KID’S DAD DAYS PRIOR. Regardless of the kid’s dad being a villain who threatened Solar’s life multiple times, that’s still incredibly screwed up.

It feels like they immediately replaced Molten with this kid. Molten died protecting Jack from the villain, and they had a funeral for him. Four days later, they replace him in the family with this kid.

Bringing the kid into the family is also really cruel to Solar and Cosmos. While the kid isn’t at fault for their dad’s actions, imagine how uncomfortable it would be for Solar to walk around the house with the kid of the person who threatened your life multiple times in the house. Cosmos was the one who killed the villain. Imagine how uncomfortable it would be for the kid to walk around in the same house as their dad’s murderer.

The kid really only exists to be a plot device in order to make Moon look good. I’m 99% certain that the show would just tell the audience that the kid and Moon are close and that Moon is a great parent, and not actually show it. It’ll just become a repeat of Sun and Dazzle.

Apologies for the long post. I just have a lot to say about my final straw for the show that made me quit watching it all together.

I DO NOT LIKE JACK ANYMORE

I don’t like how he’s just a gremlin child now, I’m fine with him being less mature than before but isn’t he fully aware that he’s a mistake. Like I said I’m fine with him not being a war hardened veteran but I don’t want him to be an idiot who’s addicted to sponges. Like honestly I’d be fine with it if they leaned into it more which is an issue I have with a lot of TSAMS they don’t lean into stuff. Like maybe they could’ve done a “He’s immature enough to think he’s not dead, but he’s mature enough to know he’s not coming back but he’s still in denial”

Huh anyway I realize that my dislikes with TSAMS often sound weaker and weaker as I fight them but I just wanted to get this out now
