i got it:

uchihas are constantly told their bodies are the most valuable parts of themselves. they don’t need emotions, opinions, thoughts. just their physical prowess. so when they are backed into a corner but still have an ally with them, they choose to give their most valuable belongings away: their own bodies.

A parallel that never got brought up between Obito, Itachi and Sasuke... At age 13, at a moment of their life where they feel particularly hopeless and powerless, they are all targeted by an older man (who has manufactured their vulnerable state) who says they have only one choice available to them: to become this man's tool and, in return, be granted some form of power with which to achieve an important goal. To become this man's tool is to do deeds which mean that each boy becomes the enemy of the world, but they feel they have no other option. And they will forever be held accountable by the people in their world and the fandom for their "choice"...at age 13.

One of my favourite headcanons is that Hidan knows most of the secrets of the other Akatsuki members.

Like, not because he’s snooping around or because they deeply trust him with those secrets, but more because he’s dumb enough to not get how massive these secrets are. So he doesn’t even think about mentioning them to anyone.

Like, he knows that Tobi is actually Obito, he just has no fucking clue who Obito (or even Madara) is or why he’s calling himself Tobi, but he just doesn’t give a shit. If he wants to be called Tobi, he’s gonna call him Tobi. He’s also seen him without a mask and just commented something like “even uglier than Kakuzu”.

And he knows, that Pain is actually just a corpse and that Nagato controls him, but he thinks everyone knows and they are just nice about it, because “he’s disabled, let’s not be rude about that”.

He knows that Itachi isn’t really into Akatsuki and is just being a double agent, but he’s just like “fair, I as well don’t wanna be here. Whatever”.

You know what I want? I want Uchiha Shisui who would burn down Konoha if those he cared about were cold.

I want a child soldier who was raised to fight and kill and simply doesn’t care about anything beyond those things.

I want a soldier who found out he was still capable of love and latched on so hard it became his defining point.

I want a Shisui who is so much more than what we see but that is dangerous and Shisui can not have too many eyes on him

I want a boy who knows he’ll die fighting fighting for something he’ll never be able to believe in because why would he want to protect the village? Protect the clan they never protected him so why return the favor?

I want the teenager who no longer knows who he is, who has so many masks he wears he no longer can see what’s underneath

I want Uchiha Shisui who would kill any who hurt Itachi (because itachi is all he has left) but doesn’t because Itachi would never want that

I want the guard dog who is kind for only one and would kill the rest at the slightest sign of discomfort
