I think it kinda sucks that when I have interest in a subject or get excited to talk about it, I’m less likely to go into a conversation with a script, which means I’m gonna ramble for waaay too long trying to figure out the one sentence that summarizes what I’m trying to say, which makes it really easy for the other party to misunderstand what the point I’m trying to make is and cut me off halway through

I don’t know if this is normal at all, but there was this time where I had to write my name down on a paper, standard stuff, 99% muscle memory. But then I looked back at what I wrote and it wasn’t my name at all. I didn’t recognize it, it was alien to me. I spent the next few seconds puzzling over how the name I’ve been using for every day of my whole life could be so horribly and completely unfamiliar to me. Because I swear on my heart I did not know the name I had just written, but it was mine. This specific scenario had never occured again, but ever since my name’s always felt a bit disconnected from the rest of me. I’m not sure if it was that scenario that changed something in me or just made me realize that disconnect but regardless what the fuck

I know I already made a post to this effect but it's so baffling to me when someone defends the fact that headphone jacks are slowly but surely getting phased out by smartphone manufacturers with some variations of "wireless headphones are more convenient anyway" bc like. If we're talking about convenience what I like about wired headphones is that they conveniently have a single plug that makes the same damn pair of headphones universally compatible with every single audio-output-capable device I own, from my phone and my computer to my fucking gameboy and my casette player, it doesn't get any more convenient than that.

one of my kids broke his leg so his favorite recess activity now that kicking balls over the fence is off the table has been hangman, except we call it frankenstein because my teacher doesnt like calling it hangman, and its all good until he wants to take over and be the frankmaster, because a game of frankenstein (hangman) run by a kindergartner who cant spell and doesnt know all his letters is a crapshoot, except for the fact that every single time without fail his phrase is "dog eats," but he doesnt know how to spell "eats" so that part is different every time, but if he realizes youve caught on that the phrase is Dog Eats theres a 50% chance he will start improvising, and its in gods hands from there on out
