how does your power work, are there any psychological harm to cleaning away someone's evil..., like that, has some weird implications, is that not just erasing parts someones personality or like what even counts as evil??

Would you consider the rehabilitation of criminals within specialized facilities psychologically harmful because it slowly strips them from their most vile violent patterns of behavior?

That's what the wash-wash fruit can do with much less impact and in much less time.

It does, however, leave them in a debilitated physical and mental state, forgive the crudeness, but it's similar as to when one smokes cannabis or opium and has a, say, "bad trip". Similarly, this is a temporary moral clarity.

That is the case, unfortunately. They're a spread practice even to this day despite the many attempts at legally regulating them.

I myself was victim to hazing on my first few weeks as a Marine, my good old friend Bluegrass would force me to let her ride me. While I look at this as a fond memory many's experiences are not as pleasant as mine, if you're a recruit and face degrading treatment from other marines above you, I encourage you report this behavior.
