Do you ever wonder what happened to the weird girl from your middle school?
The change of pronouns here really seals the deal tbh
The internet is so fucking weird to artists who make anything interesting "thanks! I hate it" "this is cursed" "i love this but i hate this" you realize some people aren't drawing memes all the time right and art can be a medium of expressing complex feelings and writing off ppls expressions as a joke is so weird i hate meme poisoned weirdos
The narrative that a "real" trans person would have shown "signs" of being trans at a young age really needs to die. How do you even measure that? A lot of kids didn't have the opportunity to experiment outside of assigned gender roles, sometimes because they didn't know it was a possibility, sometimes because they weren't allowed to. Even if a child expressed discomfort in their assigned gender, a parent or other adult may have forced them to suppress it, or may deny that it ever happened at all. A good number of trans people also lean heavily into gender stereotypes and gender norms prior to coming out in attempt to suppress it themselves, even if no one in their life has forced them to do so. Also...people change. Gender can be fluid. Maybe as a kid you felt content with your assigned gender at birth, but grew uncomfortable with it as you grew older. There is no way to measure or prove that someone is trans.
Good post

so i'm seeing this post go around quite a bit uncritically with links to straight up donate to ukrainian neo-nazi groups so i'll break it down, here's the post you'll probably see:
here's the contents of one link, calling themselves "freikorps" and using what looks to be an azov battalion insignia as an avatar:
and here's what the azov battalion is if you don't know:
now here's another link this time with with a pic of ppl flying a right sector flag:
if you dont know what right sector is:
so please don't donate to this shit, the situation isn't just some simple little good guy vs big bad guy thing, if you see someone sharing that post, try sharing this with them bcus they probably don't know
i know that “don’t harass people for being weird, they might be autistic!” is a fairly popular take on here. but as a Certified Autist, i’d like to add that harassing allistic and/or neurotypical people for being weird is also bad, and should not be done
and before you come in with “yeah, you never know who is and isn’t autistic, and you shouldn’t force people to out themselves!” i want to say two things: one, i agree. and two, even if you could magically avoid ever harassing a single autistic person, it still wouldn’t be okay to go after NTs for being weird. they’re people, janice. they’re allowed to be really invested in naruto
#stop playing the game of ‘who is it okay for me to hurt?’ #the answer is no one #the answer is ALWAYS going to be no one #none people is the correct number of people to hurt [X]
just like it’s important that we let people embrace and be flamboyant with their gender, we must allow people to have gender be a nonimportant part of their identity. a cis woman can love being feminine and claim her womanhood loud and proud, just like another cis woman can just be ‘whatever’ about it. a trans woman can be hyperfeminine and proud, while another can just say ‘yeah i’m a woman’ without it being a gigantic deal to her. a non-binary person doesn’t have to be constantly torn up about their gender identity to be non-binary. all experiences of gender are unique and valid in their own way.
If gender makes no sense to you, you are allowed to just give up and ignore it
