Just a few things I’d like to point out regarding the Kim’s snapchats:
1) Obviously from how she recorded the video from her phone via Snapchat, Kim decided to only post some segments and not the entire phone call, so there are gaps missing, which isn’t exactly fair.
2) Why record only certain segments and put it on Snapchat, of all places, rather than release the whole thing to E! or another site? That just looks sketchy.
3) The phone call was recorded when Taylor was never told it was going to be, which is in itself illegal.
4) From the Snapchats Kim posted, the only lyric Kanye reads to Taylor that we hear and see is , “…I feel like Taylor and me might still have sex.” But Kim never posted the part where Taylor “supposedly heard” Kanye read the, “I made that bitch famous” lyric.
5) Going based off #4, it isn’t that hard to tell tell half a lie, which seems that’s what happened here by only reading her one lyric and not the other
6) And based off points #4 and #5, that’s why Taylor is so upset about it–not only because the “I made that bitch famous” lyric is demeaning, but because she didn’t even know about that lyric. It makes a huge difference when you put both those lyrics together, instead of having just the one Kanye read to her (“might still have sex”).
7) Taylor is upset about the “I made that bitch famous” part and rightfully so because Kanye chose to only tell her one lyric, and not the other that follows directly after. If she would have actually been told the lyric, for her to be this upset publicly and defending herself as she is, don’t you think she wouldn’t have reacted so positive and happy like she did on that phone call?
8) Taylor tells Kanye over the phone that she understands that he’s telling the story as it happened to him, and understands that’s what he’s doing. And she says that because she does that herself because, as she has stated in the past, Taylor writes songs about her emotions. And Taylor probably only told Kanye that because she didn’t know about the “I made that bitch famous” line and was NEVER TOLD that line. Taylor was being empathetic not only as a fellow artist, but as someone who has been criticized left and right for writing songs based off her own experiences and her own emotions. But that empathy gets tossed out the window when it turns out that person didn’t tell the complete truth, which is what seems to have happened here.
And I’m going to repeat this once more, because I think this is the most important thing out of all of this mess:
9) It is ILLEGAL to record a conversation WITHOUT THE OTHER PERSON’S CONSENT
