tl;dr I’m mad

My friends laugh at me because "I'm too good of a person", well consider yourself fucking lucky you dumb bitches. Being first generation and having parents that immigrated here I learned to be extremely compassionate because I grew up with nothing. My parents work their fucking ass off to give me this life so I learned to be appreciative and sympathetic. I was never mad that my father was never able to celebrate birthdays or holidays with us because he is the one that put me through college. I'm "too good of a person" because yeah I do let my emotions get the best of me. I feel for other people who have to work extremely hard for their lives or people who have nothing.

It is blowing my mind that I know somebody who is aware of somebody’s work situation, but still gets upset when they can’t take the time out of their day to talk. Like CONSTANTLY. To have that much work on your plate you would expect the people in your life to be supportive of you, and to understand that they might need to take some time out of their life to focus. I really don’t understand how people can disregard that. And to consider it a factor in whether or not they want to continue having this person in their life. “If they really cared they’d put more in effort” yeah I agree. But almost every fucking day seems excessive. 

But you know what really pisses me off is the fucking hypocrisy. I get blown off by this person constantly and I have a lot of theories why it recently stopped, one of them being the enormous temper tantrum I threw after having it done to me too many times. And I forgive because “I’m too good of a person”, but this situation is “unforgivable”. Why because you’re the victim now? But you know what the difference is between our situations? I get blown off for another person (and got lied to about it btw). This person gets blown off for what could be 99.999999% work related (at least based on what I have been told). Yeah it sucks to get blown off in any situation, but the one that sucks the most is one that reads “I didn’t want to hang out with you because I’d rather hang out with somebody else” not the one that reads “I had to cancel our plans because I have to do my job and make a living” (assuming that this is the current situation at hand). I CAN NOT understand how somebody could expect support and not give it back.

I’m not sorry if this seems insensitive. This is absolutely ridiculous. Please try and level your fucking head.
