His gaze flickered for a moment but he smiled again quickly. “What anyone would want–pleasure,”

She broke away from his gaze and focused intently on the open space straight before her. Despite the way she rolled her eyes she could not hide how her cheeks flushed without any credit to the wine. “I’m really glad you didn’t die today,” Lenore confessed after a pause as her voice lowered, showing the slightest vulnerability through her barely slurred words. “As am I,” Gale agreed. “Though I am a bit shocked to hear you admit it yourself.” “Well, I happen to dislike you the least of our companions,” She told him as she slowly turned the empty glass in her lap between her fingers and continued to stare off at the far wall of the tent. His laughter was barely a whisper as he contemplated her words. “I dislike you the least as well,” He told her before turning his head to look at her. “In fact, I’d venture as far as to say I like you the most of them all.” The silence shrouding the tent felt deafening as the energy between them continued to shift. Lenore looked back at him and felt the guard she worked so diligently to keep dismantling further. Without a word, their eyes stayed locked on the other and seemed to connect them in a way neither had experienced before. She could not deny that the feelings she possessed differed from the disdain she once felt toward him at the start of their journey. “I like you the most of them too,” she finally admitted though her voice was hardly audible.

After successfully infiltrating the goblin camp, the party takes on the three leaders. Korra and Astarion find themselves making plans to celebrate their victory, while Lenore and Gale face down near death.

“Astarion,” Korra breathed out his name, trying to calm herself before she said the next thing, “Can you clean my back?” Astarion froze, looking at her curiously to determine what she meant. Silently, Korra turned her back to him, and waited. The vampire approached with silent steps, seeming to hold himself even more carefully than usual. Korra gasped when she felt his cool slim hands find her, landing lightly on her ribs. “He’s made quite a mess of you, darling,” Astarion said, his voice low. Korra felt the slightest tremble of anticipation run through her. Astarion must have felt it, too, because he inched his hands just that much further up, nearer the soft skin of her breasts. Then, she felt him leaning in, and his cool tongue pressed against her burning skin.

Lenore turned toward the sound of distress only to see Gale knocked clear to the ground by the hilt of her sword, dazed and immobile at Minthara’s feet. Time seemed to come to a startling halt as the sword rose once again above her head. A glint of light flickered from the blade as the paladin summoned a lethal, smiting strike. Gale could do nothing but watch as the fatal blow came hurtling down on him. Lenore’s palms cracked against the other as she threw them together urgently, a thunderous shout releasing frantically from within her chest while her hands shot toward the dazzling weapon. “TORMENTUM!” Missiles shot from her palms in a burst of blinding light, whistling through the air as they locked onto their target. With a crash and then sickening burst, they collided midair and sent the drow woman back - but her body did not land.

You won’t be able to charm anyone when your mouth is turned to curds,” Lenore said. “Oh, thank you so much for your generous understanding and acceptance,” Astarion said sarcastically. “I can hunt just fine on my own.” “I’m sure you can…” Gale said, glancing towards Korra. She was still standing protectively over Astarion, who had turned and was rifling through the dead hunter’s pockets and bag. She met Gale’s eyes briefly before looking away.
