◕ - Bakura eyy
[ send me a symbol for my muse’s reaction to yours… || ◕ - leaving a hickey on their neck ]
“You ass--” Swiftly smacking the spirit away from him, he stepped back to rub the new bruise on his throat. “I didn’t tell you that you could do that!” He snapped, glaring at him. After a few moments, Marik’s initial interpretation of Bakura trying to display dominance became more of a challenge. Instantly, Marik sprung forward to seize the spirit’s wrists, shoving him back towards a wall in an attempt to pin him.

[ send me a symbol for my muse’s reaction to yours… || ☆ - knocking on their door at 3 am ]
Malik had only just managed to fall asleep, or so it felt, when the knocking disturbed him. With a small groan, followed by a snicker from the back of his head, he shuffled to the door to answer it. Blinking a couple times at the man in front of him, he furrowed his brows slightly. “Yugi...?” He let out a small sigh. “It’s late -- what are you doing here?”
heartof-thepharaoh:
“Well it wasn’t you who I came to see”. He put on the face of not being afraid, of still being his normal confident and cocky self - annoyance fluttering within his eyes though as he saw the other moving to block off his possible exit. Okay. He maybe should double check when it came to Ryou and Malik - about who he was actually dealing with. “…In many ways that makes you even worse. You truly are like a virus”. Cause provoking the psycho was always a smart idea. Atem had never been to this house before though. Was there a back door? Maybe he could get out that way? “Make what quick?” he glared towards him as he continued to slowly back away inside the kitchen.
Well duh. Of course Atem wasn’t here to see him. No one ever came to visit poor old Marik. It was all about Malik, Malik, Malik. That’s how it had been since his manifestation, and, to his irritation, would continue to be until the day that he finally was able to completely suppress the host personality. Brief irritation crossed his face, eyes narrowing at the insult. He was no virus. He’d never see himself as one, anyhow. In Marik’s eyes, he was Malik’s ( and his siblings’ ) savior.
“Isn’t it obvious? Your death,” he hissed the word, frown soon turning the other direction. He slunk closer, movements stiff and tense. “I’ll just slit your throat, and it’ll be over just like that!” It wasn’t his style at all, but he wouldn’t have the luxury of leaving a mess in the apartment. Evidence on the street hardly mattered, but in the event that he hadn’t cleaned up a mess in their home, Malik could try harder to fight him, and the alter couldn’t have that.
Would it work? Was he as desperate as the AI beileved him to be? Tapping his fingers on the virtual keyboard in his lap, eyes scanned over the image of the other man - almost able to see the argument that he much be having with himself at that moment in time. Amusing. Everything was amusing tonight it seemed. [Text] We can meet in the Kaiba Corp basement. [Text] At night though - this is top secrect…
Top secret never meant anything good, and Malik knew that very well. This was bound to be some kind of trick, his gut was telling him, and yet... a piece of him still wanted it to be true. Plus, he had already half agreed, he couldn’t back out now. His pride wouldn’t allow it. With a sharp, shaky, anxious exhale, he responded, resisting the urge to put his phone away immediately after to see whether or not the other individual would respond.
[txt] i’ll see you there
hiddenknxves:
“You’re always playing games with me, you don’t know any other way.” And it was true, after all. Marik was notorious for his games. Just as Kura was. But he felt uneasy, more than anything else, as the man began to circle around him, sizing him up, or was it down from where he loomed above him? It made the thief shiver, scowl ever present on his face. “Friends? I’m not even sure you know what that word means, Ishtar.”
Marik began to laugh and Bakura felt his heart drop into his stomach. He didn’t like the sounds of that, but he refused to show his fear, to wear it on his face or let the other sniff it out like some bloody demented hound. “You’re right, we don’t. I’m done with the whole murder and revenge gimmick, I don’t know about you though.”
He was still glaring up at the other, trying to keep his composure when he lets out a shaky breath and straightens himself out, forcing a smirk to his face. “Fine then. Friends.”
Admittedly, Bakura was right. Everything that Marik did was a game, and there was no way in all of hell that he knew what friends were. All he knew was that the word existed, and that his pitiful host had only a mere handful of them. Not that Marik made making friends very easy. So, lacking the examples of true friendship, aside from the pathetic show of the Pharaoh and his gang, Marik could only consider a friend to be someone he didn’t want to kill. Which was the idea he proposed anyhow.
Though, he was mildly surprised to find that Bakura was finished with the darker side of life. It was all that the alter knew -- and he had no intention of stopping. Malik couldn’t stop him. Nobody could. No matter how hard Malik tried to fight it, Marik intended to keep hurting and torturing innocent individuals. It was almost a shame that the other man didn’t have an interest in such things. They would make great partners in crime.
“Really? That’s it?” He stopped his motions, again looking Bakura from head to toe before he settled with eye contact. “I didn’t think you would agree.” Tilting his head slightly in a predatory manner, he snorted, a smirk creeping onto his lips. “Not immediately, anyways.”

[ send me a symbol for my muse’s reaction to yours… || ● - kissing their fingertips ]
The affection was more than welcomed by the Egyptian. As the kisses came to an end, Marik curled his fingers to brush against his mirror’s face, letting out a satisfied hum. He added a little pressure to lightly drag his nails against the flesh, trailing down to his chin before taking the touch away, cocking his head slightly to one side with a small grin.
so this takes place after everyone has grown old and died. bakura finally gets to reunite with his family.

Groggy and visibly irritated, Malik forced himself to sit up. The knocking didn’t seem to stop -- whoever it was really wanted him to wake up. He pushed himself to his feet after taking a few moments to blink away sleep and dizziness, making his way over to the door, opening up and looking Ryou over, trying to figure out why on earth he would be awake and at his door at such a late hour. His first assumption was that something was wrong, and proceeded to question, “Are you okay?” to confirm his suspicion. “It’s three in the morning...”

Why he even let the blond touch his face, feigning affection as he stroked at his freckled-dusted cheek was beyond him, but the thief hardly felt inclined to say anything. Lesser still than to scold him for the action when he very well should have. “Tch, excuse the fuck you, don’t tell me what I should or shouldn’t be!”
So much for keeping his temper in check.
He allowed this… darker version of Marik to stroke his check another second longer before swatting his hand away and narrowing crimson eyes. “Don’t play games with me, Ishtar. Say what you’re here for or piss off! I don’t have time for your mind games.”
Marik had to stifle a laugh as the other smacked his hand, grinning widely at him. It was always fun to see Bakura so angry. “Mind games? Who said I was playing with you?” He slid around the former spirit to begin a slow circle around him. “Come now, I just want to be friends-- we can do that, right?”
His head tilted slightly to one side, watching him intently. This time he couldn’t keep down his laughter. He was sure that Bakura was going to say no, but it was sure to be another thing that got on his nerves. Though he was eager to see whether or not he might actually agree to the proposal. “We have no reason to be killing each other anymore,” he added.
