Revelation
We are born into a world with our eyes shut,Â
Finally opening them after nine months of beginning,
Seeing everything for the first time, light, people, faces.. the face that belongs to the beautiful sing-song voice we heard everyday thus far…
We grow and we learn, downloading images to our brain, everything we see seems to be something new… More and more we become just that, more. We push through life knowing only what we know, and never what we don’t, our life simply a bittersweet poem… We’re all born with a thirst for knowledge that can never be entirely quenched and every new door we open leads to two more.
We choose door after door and path after path, turning the knob slowly into something unseen and something unknown..Â
Constantly absorbing all that we come across, constantly pushing but never stopping to ponder all that we’ve gained until the moment that we do…Â
Reaching for the next door… We stop, for the very first time and wonder… What’s behind the other…? What was behind the last? The one before that and all that were to follow.. we backtrack a few and take the opposite, all new territory, completely untouched, only to find that what’s behind these contradicts what we’ve learned stepping through the others… How could this be? How can we be seeing the world in two different ways, three, four, a thousand alternate ways…
When we stop and see there’s more than what our eyes first met. We think about what else we’ve seen, and how perhaps, it isn’t exactly what we’ve seen…
