there's something really funny about the only two nuclear physicists in the warcraft setting being locus-walker, a guy who used his knowledge of nuclear physics to create nuclear power plants that killed his people through radiation poisoning, and l'ura, an intergalactic windchime.
and they know each other.
Between All*ria, my ex-champions, the forsaken lady from hell, and general chumpfuckery, this has been a cromulent fuckcrustable of a campaign. Xally needy worldsoul.

i fuckin hate games where u furnish/decorate a house because it reminds me i truly have no fucking idea what youre supposed to have in a room
How closely intertwined do you think Anduin's hair is with his mental health? I tend to use it as a barometer throughout his life just because of the upkeep it takes at certain lengths / markers of when he's cut it, but now that he's experienced Buzzcut Freedom I honestly don't know if he'd ever go back. Even if Stormwind Fashion for Kings' latest issue says he really ought to.
I do think in the Warlands timeline his hair is still long-ish but manky and greasy and probably a shade or so darker from lack of sunlight (kept indoors like princess Jasmine.) But that's just my imaginary Andin from my emotional support worst timeline.
Have a quick pooped baby Anduin on me. uwu
Hmmmm...!!!!!!
If we're talking length? I think from the game's POV and how they've been depicting him - no, I don't think it went that deep other than Anduin mimicking Varian.
His TWW Buzzcut Freedom was probably the first instance of it linking to his mental health. This was his Britney Spears moment.
Other than that, the idea of it is great, tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if anyone writes Anduin with that in mind. His life does go downhill every expansion, then his hair grows longer and/or it gets more chaotic. It goes well hand in hand.
I do think it's pretty nice how unkempt he looks in this cover art.
I have a feeling Anduin will be growing his hair back when I think of Blizzard.
But it's absolutely valid he wouldn't go back either because, c'mon, it's undeniable having short-hair is a blessing for him. Stormwind's Fashion for King's opinions aka expectations out the window, no Varianism and it probably feels like a brand new start and a personal decision he made for himself. His old rebellious phase from MOP could come out of this.
Idk how legit that one comic is (Son of Wolf?), but Anduin got his long mane back plus the beard in the future. So if the writers want, him going back for more hair is still 'pretty canon', I guess.
I'm all for the manky and greasy and discoloured Anduin headcanon. Seeing Anduin in all his glory that isn't a well-kept prince charming is a yes from me.
Personally, idm what he does with it later on. Works either way for me, it's easy to justify both. I'm grateful Blizzard took a bold direction in TWW and gave me the opportunity to see him in a different light (no pun intended). He now looks even more handsome to me after this, whatever style he takes next.
It was both an artistic and personal learning pleasure for me.
there's fuckall to do out here
I had a vision.
Going through Outland and now that I'm playing it on easy mode and not being pissed off by the quests, I'm really enjoying the zones visually. Zangarmarsh and Blade's Edge Mountains are actually sick as fuck when you aren't pissed off all the time
Came back here to say Blade's Edge suuuuuuuucks
Attack on @fatal-fruit-art!
The funniest thing about this whole dumpster fire of a prepatch storyline is that the 99% Loa are not even that unreasonable to make deals with. The rules are usually "don't torture or kill us or our worshippers" and "if we say no to your requests that doesn't give you the right to put us in the blender to eat our powers".
Also they never really explained WHY Zul'jan couldn't use the lightwood. The champion of Azeroth literally uses a fuck ton of it as ballista against the void ogres near the end of the intro campaign in Zul'aman LOL
Yeah youre right lmao. I would assume the reason he can't use / get more lightwood is because it would mean going to Eversong to harvest it, since there's no Lightbloom in Zul'aman.
Which like...who gives a fuck. Maybe if the sin'dorei really wanted to ally with the Amani they should give them more material support. They should literally be paying reparations for colonizing their land LOL but we're gonna have to be at least 75% more wokecraft for that to ever happen.
Because the loa did abandon the Amani when they were being colonized by the sin'dorei. Zul'jin did all that to resist colonization (even if they did try to retcon it in midnight). Zul'jan isn't unreasonable for being concerned that the peace with the elves won't last. Especially since the elves largely still view the Amani as savages and are only begrudgingly allying with them because of the Void. Who's to say that as soon as this is over, things won't go back to exactly the way they've ALWAYS been? The Amani have no reason to trust the sin'dorei. It's crazy that Zul'jan is seemingly the only one who has this concern.
A legacy that will break the Amani dependence on the Loa.
Some Zul'jan sketches cause he is my favourite guy from Midnight and he is lovely 💜
