“This might just be because these two are my favorite characters and I want to see more content of both, but out of all the fondness events from Kai’s island spinoff, the ones I’m most excited about are Keiji’s. I know the only characters we get to see actually interacting with Kai in the main story are Sara and Q-taro, but Keiji’s ridiculous rivalry with Kai in the 4-komas and Nankidai’s sketches is hilarious (I just know those two will fight over eggs at some point during the fondness events), and there’s a bunch of parallels between those two that I hope we get to see more of in the side game.”

“So when I first saw the gameplay, my dumbass literally thought Nao was on the percentage list cause I didn’t read the whole name. So I was surprised when Nao died in the game, and it took me about half a year after hopping from fandom to fandom to realize that I’ve been reading Naomichi as Nao the whole time. -_-”

“Confession: I know voting for Shin to die in the second Main Game is respecting his wishes to sacrifice himself/revert to his true self, and also leads to a more satisfactory ending to Ch. 2, all that jazz. But I feel like he also deserves to beat his 0.0% chance of survival, hopefully through escaping with the other survivors at the end of the game.”

“confession: as a fellow criminal mastermind, i relate to midori so much. it’s so exhausting to have to orchestrate and execute my devious plans, and then people get mad at me for doing them. everyone in the game who signed the consent form signed it of their own volition, and then they get mad at midori for “making” them sign it. just like midori, the victims of my crimes are completely unreasonable. i am so glad to have a relatable character like midori in this incredible game. /j”

“confession: this isn't even about any yttd character in specific but lacking guilt does not make them bad! not experiencing guilt does not give you the immediately-evil card, and i say this as someone who lacks it myself! you can be a good OR bad person regardless of whether you feel bad for the ways you hurt others, and this goes for everyone in yttd too.

please try to judge your characters in other ways (and this does not just go for lacking guilt)! shin's actions can be debated over because he expressed kindness towards kanna, not because he was able to care about her! midori is a bad person because he hurts others, not because he can't feel bad for the harm he causes!!!! and that goes for all the other characters and their behavior too! please think about their actions and not their ability to engage in experiences or feelings beyond their control.

(i would also argue that defining characters' moral value on their lack of empathy/sympathy/guilt is ableist, but thats not a debate to have in this confession about a horror rpg)”
